Abstract: An example method is performed at a device with a display and a biometric sensor. While the device is in a locked state, the method includes displaying a log-in user interface that is associated with logging in to a first and second user account. While displaying the log-in user interface, the method includes, receiving biometric information, and in response to receiving the biometric information: when the biometric information is consistent with biometric information for the first user account and the first user account does not have an active session, displaying a prompt to input a log-in credential for the first user account; and when the biometric information is consistent with biometric information for the second user account and the second user account does not have an active session on the device, displaying a prompt to input a log-in credential for the second user account.

Abstract: The device overcomes the inability of a single HVAC system, when the entire building (or upon each HVAC system which is serving the building) to create optimal occupant comfort, realize potential energy savings, adjust for times of occupancy, and overcome internally and externally imposed changes to comfort when controlled by a single temperature control device. The invention allows the occupant(s) to employ multiple temperature control devices, which results in meeting the requirements for occupant comfort, energy savings, and adjust for times of occupancy.

Abstract: A method of and apparatus for controlling the resultant velocity of a member is provided, the resultant velocity being derived by driving the member in two component directions, simultaneously. First sensor means derive a signal indicative of the resultant velocity, the derived signal being compared with a preselected reference signal to derive an error signal constituting a resultant velocity demand signal which is integrated to obtain a resultant amount of movement demand signal. The resultant amount of movement demand signal is selected from `look-up` reference table memory means and corresponding desired values derived for the amounts of movement of the member in the two component directions. The desired values are compared with signals derived from the first and second sensor means sensing the movement of member and error signals are obtained for controlling the driving of the member in the two component directions.
