    Abstract: An apparatus for switching DC power has linearly regulated turn-on and turn-off switching transitions. The apparatus includes a differential amplifier with negative feedback which drives the control input of a controllable pass element in response to a ramp signal applied to one input of the amplifier. Feedback from the output terminal of the pass element limits the slope of the signal at the amplifier output to provide substantially linear switching transitions.
