Abstract: The enclosed disclosure relates to a configuration of an electric vehicle. The embodiments described within provide improvements in the way of packaging associated batteries, motors, transmissions, controllers, and associated components. In the described embodiment enclosed, a vehicle comprises a frame supported by a plurality of ground engaging members, and the frame is configured to support a plurality of seats. The vehicle includes a powertrain comprising a battery supported by the frame and the battery is under at least partially under at least one of the seats. The powertrain also includes a motor supported by the frame and a propeller shaft extends from a position rearward of the battery to a position forward of the battery. The propeller shaft extends along a portion of the vehicle centerline, and when viewed from a side perspective view, the propeller shaft laterally overlaps at least a portion of the battery.

Abstract: A vehicle is provided. The vehicle may include an electric powertrain drivingly coupled to at least one of a plurality of ground engaging members. The vehicle may include an operator area supported by the frame and at least one of a front cargo area positioned forward of the operator area and a rear cargo area positioned rearward of the seating area. The rear cargo area may include a cargo box and at least one storage compartment. The at least one storage compartment may be arranged vertically below at least a portion of a floor panel of the cargo box and may include a plurality of discrete interior regions. The vehicle may include seating having extendable panels to form along with seat backs a support surface of a storage area in one arrangement. The storage area may include the floor of the cargo box.

Abstract: A utility vehicle, or UTV, provides a strong, yet lightweight chassis, a set of modular body panels, and various field-serviceability features which enable the UTV to be used in demanding environments such as off-road racing and challenging terrain. An integrated engine and transmission cooler and bodywork vents reduce weight while providing for component cooling while the vehicle is in operation. Passenger/navigator features facilitate use of the vehicle in team-oriented driving, including off-road racing.

The recreational vehicle may include a plurality of ground engaging members comprising at least one front ground engaging member and at least one rear ground engaging member. The recreational vehicle may further comprise a frame assembly comprising a front portion, a middle portion, and a rear portion. A steering assembly may be supported by the front portion and configured to steer at least one of the plurality of ground engaging members. A first motor and a second motor may be configured to provide power to the ground engaging members. A battery assembly may be supported by the middle portion. The middle portion may comprise a tub configured to support a battery and an operator in a seated or standing position.
