    Abstract: A method includes receiving from a remotely located computer information identifying at least one purchase category, wherein the information is transmitted by the computer responsive to user input provided to the computer by a bank customer having a debit card account with a bank; after receiving the information identifying the at least one purchase category, receiving an authorization request for a transaction corresponding to the debit card account; and causing the authorization request to be declined responsive to the at least one purchase category.
