    Abstract: A system for detecting and engaging a refuse can includes at least one sensor positioned on a refuse collection vehicle and configured to detect objects on one or more sides of the refuse vehicle, an actuator assembly configured to actuate to engage the refuse can, and a controller configured to detect, using a single-stage object detector, the presence of the refuse can based on first data received from the at least one sensor, determine, based on the first data, a position of the refuse can with respect to the refuse collection vehicle, generate a first trajectory from the refuse collection vehicle to the position of the refuse can, generate a second trajectory for the actuator assembly, and initiate a control action to move at least one of the refuse collection vehicle along the first trajectory or the actuator assembly along the second trajectory to engage the refuse can.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, devices and computer software for delivering electrical stimulation to biological tissue are described. In some implementations, an electrical lead for implantation in a patient can include a distal portion with electrodes that are configured to generate therapeutic energy for biological tissue of the patient, such as the heart or pericardium. The distal portion can include an electrode extension having a tip electrode, the electrode extension configured to facilitate contact of the tip electrode with biological tissue of the patient when the lead is in a deployed configuration. A distal part of the lead can be configured to include a heel portion, a bend in a proximal part, and/or a bend in a distal part, to facilitate contact of an electrode located on the heel portion with biological tissue of the patient when the lead is in a deployed configuration.

    Abstract: A lead for providing neuromuscular electrical stimulation that enhances fatigue-resistance, as well as methods of use thereof, and methods for manufacturing the same, are provided. The lead has a proximal region, a distal region, a fatigue-resistant zone disposed between the proximal region and the distal region, and one or more conductors comprising individual strands that extend from the distal region to the proximal region substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the electrostimulation lead outside of the fatigue-resistant zone. The individual strands of one or more conductors are wound in a coiled configuration within the fatigue-resistant zone to enhance fatigue-resistance. Moreover, the fatigue-resistant zone is configured to be disposed at a location within the patient that experiences fracture-inducing shear forces caused by movement of the patient's lower back muscles.

Leads can be implanted to work in conjunction with a cardiac pacemaker or cardiac defibrillator. A lead for cardiac therapy may be inserted into an intercostal space associated with the cardiac notch of a patient. Devices for delivery may include, for example, a delivery system coupled with an electrical lead and having a handle, a component advancer and insertion tips. The handle is configured to be actuated by an operator and the component advancer is configured to advance an electrical lead into the patient. The insertion tips can be configured to close around the electrical lead within the component advancer, to push through biological tissue, and to open to enable the lead to advance into the patient. The electrical lead can also be maintained in a particular orientation during the advancement into the patient.
