Abstract: A method, system, and computer-readable media are provided for facilitating communication of multimedia data across a distributed network. When the invention is employed for facilitating intra-communication between mobile network carriers, the invention can be configured to utilize a plurality of distribution sites. A first distribution site of a sender can receive an item of multimedia data and an identifier from a sender. The first distribution site may then transmit the identifier to a look-up server in order for the look-up server to identify the location of a recipient's distribution site. Once the look-up server identifies the recipient's distribution site for the first distribution site, the first distribution site can transmit the multimedia data to the recipient's distribution site.

In embodiments, a mobile internet protocol session is initialized with a packet data serving node, and a registration request is communicated to a home agent, the home agent acting as a router on a home network of the mobile device and enabled to tunnel one or more data packets to the mobile device when the mobile device is outside the home network. Further, in embodiments a registration reply is received from the home agent, the registration reply including a domain name system server assignment to a domain name system server acting as a translator capable of converting one or more hostnames into one or more associated IP addresses during the mobile IP session.

The cryptographic hash value is used to enable a device to communicate with a communication network.

Abstract: A system, a method and computer-readable media for handling a device that experiences a failure to complete a network's authentication process. Causes of the failure are determined, and device attributes are received. These causes and attributes are then used to determine an alternative authentication process. The device is authenticated by using this alternative authentication process.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed describing the transmission of multimedia data to a mobile device. A system describing some of the disclosed embodiments comprises a mobile digital television transmitter transmitting a primary data stream, a transceiver transmitting a secondary data stream, and a mobile device. In some embodiments the mobile device comprises a mobile display, a mobile transceiver, and a mobile processor and receives at least the primary data stream and the secondary data. The mobile device displays data from either the primary data stream or the secondary data stream, and transmits a mobile data stream to the transceiver. The mobile data stream may comprise information relating to the status of both the primary data stream and the secondary data stream.

Abstract: A system, a method and computer-readable media for handling a device that experiences a failure to complete an authentication process of a network. The cause of the failure is determined. Authentication parameters that may be used by the device to complete the authentication process are then identified. The authentication parameters are communicated to the device, and the device is directed to reattempt the authentication process while utilizing the provided authentication parameters.

Abstract: To facilitate improved delivery of messages via multiple messaging servers, a data abstraction layer is provided. When a first messaging server receives a message destined to a particular party served by a second messaging server, the first messaging server queries the data abstraction layer, and the data abstraction layer then queries potentially multiple databases to obtain information usable to facilitate message delivery, including presence data, preference data, and capabilities data, and provides the information to the first messaging server. The first messaging server may use the presence data to decide whether to send the message, and may use the preference data to decide which device should receive the message. When the first messaging server sends the message to the second messaging server, the first messaging server may provide the second messaging server with the capabilities data to facilitate tailoring of the message content for the destination device.

Abstract: A seal assembly for the perimeter of a window of an automotive vehicle that has an elongated support channel extending around the window perimeter and an elongated continuous tubular sealing member. The elongated continuous tubular sealing member is wound at least twice around the perimeter in overlapping relation with itself and secured in the channel to provide an inner seal and an outer seal with a transition length therebetween, the ends of the elongated continuous tubular sealing member being positioned proximate to and abutting the transition length.
