  • Publication number: 20230088379
Abstract: Disclosed herein are compositions and methods for manufacturing composite paper-based sorbents configured for durability, and high surface area exposure to air. Composite paper-based sorbents can comprise fibers (e.g. natural and/or synthetic fibers), anion exchange resins, and additives. Composite paper-based sorbents can be configured for durability when used in various forming processes, e.g., corrugation, and when used under a variety of conditions, for example, in high and low humidity environments.

  • Publication number: 20130171577
Abstract: A heating control system comprises a vessel including a plurality of fluid ports including: a fluid inlet port arranged to connect to a heated fluid supply, a first controllable radiator circuit port, and a second controllable radiator circuit port. A controller is operatively connected to the controllable radiator circuit ports and to a temperature probe arranged to indicate, in use, a temperature of fluid circulating through the vessel. The controller is arranged to open a selected one of the radiator ports when the probe indicates the fluid is below a temperature T2 and to open the other of the radiator ports when the probe indicates the fluid is above the temperature T2.

  • Publication number: 20080087216
Abstract: An improved film coater which utilizes one or more coater or applicators to transfer coating to the outer surfaces of at least one more rolls, which in turn transfers the coating from the roll surface to one or more sides of the web for coating paper is disclosed. The coater or applicator includes a smoothing doctor on the web and downstream of the one or more rolls, and may also utilize humidity from one of steam showers or a humidity enclosure to assist smoothing. The web may run in any direction, but preferably runs upwardly from the roll toward the doctor to reduce “film split” droplets effect. The present invention also reduces the fiber rise and arrange peel pattern on the coated web, resulting in a smooth uniform coated paper.

  • Patent number: 4569006
Abstract: A lamp unit (10) for being removable positioned within the rear opening (11) of an automobile headlight reflector (13). The unit (10) includes a plastic holder (19), an electric (e.g., tungsten halogen) lamp (30) having a filament structure (42) contained within the envelope (33) thereof, a clamp member (46) secured to the lamp's press-sealed end portion (47), and an insert member (48) located within a cavity (21) of the holder (19). The clamp member (46) includes a pair of skirt portions (57) which frictional engage and are thereafter secured (e.g., welded) to the innermost surface of an upstanding portion (61) of the insert member (48), thus facilitating alignment and positioning of the lamp (30) relative to the holder (19). The insert member (48) is only partly inserted within the holder's cavity (21) to effect the defined securement and is thereafter attached to the holder.
