Patent number: 12290071Abstract: Peroxyformic acid compositions for removal of biofilm growth and other contaminants and impurities from industrial processing hard surfaces are disclosed. In particular, peroxyformic acid compositions may be dosed on site and/or generated in situ for the reduction and prevention of biofilms on the hard surfaces. Methods of employing the peroxyformic acid compositions for removal of biofilm growth and other impurities such as aldehydes and alcohols from industrial CO2 effluent are also disclosed which beneficially provide ambient biofilm control and break down more rapidly than other peracids, allowing for extended runs between CIP cleaning, including a reduction and/or elimination of cleaning of the scrubbers and other industrial surfaces.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2023Date of Patent: May 6, 2025Assignee: ECOLAB USA INC.Inventors: John Bolduc, Chris Nagel, Junzhong Li, Catherine Hanson, Peter Fernholz

Patent number: 6234939Abstract: The present invention utilizes a split hub assembly that provides the user two modes of operation, unipedal or bipedal. Unipedal mode is when each crank is functioning independent of the other thus forcing the user to work each leg differently yet simultaneously. Bipedal simulates the normal operation of a bicycle. In the preferred embodiment, each side of the invention (left and right side for left and right legs) has its own drive system. The split hub assembly is housed between each drive system, and by using an actuator, the drive systems can be connected to provide bipedal operation, or disconnected to provide unipedal operation. This allows each side, in unipedal mode, to vary its resistance without affecting the other side in order for a patient to exercise both legs separately and favor one with a different resistance to account for an injury or recovery from surgery.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 1996Date of Patent: May 22, 2001Inventors: Thomas V. Moser, Nicholas James Vailas, Virginia L. Ross, Andrew John Bolduc

Patent number: 6055160Abstract: An electrical feed through for use in a high temperature oven such as the oven in a gas chromatograph. The feed through includes printed circuit boards which are maintained in compression to prevent the boards from physically separating at the elevated temperatures used in the oven. The structure that provides the compression also does not allow any flexure, torsional or longitudinal stress on the boards. The boards include an enhanced connector pad which is made from a continuous annular copper ring which is connected to all of the conductive layers of the board.Type: GrantFiled: January 9, 1998Date of Patent: April 25, 2000Assignee: Siemens Applied Automation, Inc.Inventors: Glen Eugene Schmidt, Eugene Lee Kesselhuth, Jeffrey John Bolduc, Ray Dean Dorris, Albert Eugene Waldorf
