  • Publication number: 20180263728
Abstract: A matrix ring includes a body that has a yoke, a first side arm extending from a first end of the yoke, a second side arm extending from a second end of the yoke, a first tine extending downwardly and inwardly from the first side arm, and a second tine extending downwardly and inwardly from the second side arm and converging toward the first tine. A first tip covers at least a portion of the first tine, and a second tip covers at least a portion of the second tine. The first and second tips are each bifurcated by a tine gap to provide a first tip finger and a second tip finger.

  • Publication number: 20130252198
Abstract: A matrix band retainer clip for sealing a matrix band against a tooth is provided. The retainer clip includes a pair of tines, each of which has a generally wedge shaped piece with a pair of contact surfaces that are angled relative to one another. A spring is coupled with and extends between the tines and biases the tines towards one another to apply a biasing force from at least one contact surface of each tine against the matrix band thereby sealing the matrix band against the tooth. The spring has a generally U-shaped portion with a pair of vertically extending legs coupled with the tines at their lower ends and interconnected at their upper ends by a generally laterally extending leg for distributing a stress across a length of the spring in response to the tines being separated from one another.

  • Patent number: 7345586
Abstract: A radio frequency identification (RF ID) tag (202) and a method for communicating data from an RF ID card to an electronic device (102) are disclosed. The RF ID tag comprises one or more removable materials that conceal the data (106). The presence of the one or more removable materials disables the RF ID tag.

  • Publication number: 20080046239
Abstract: A speech-based file guiding apparatus and method for a mobile terminal capable of playing multimedia files is provided. The speech-based file guiding method includes checking if a music play mode is activated; checking whether a file selection signal is input, if the music play mode is activated; and outputting, audio sounds corresponding to file information on a selected file if a file selection signal is input. As a result, file information is provided as speech, and the user can use the mobile terminal in an eyes-free mode.

  • Publication number: 20080019502
Abstract: A substrate (56) for a handset device defines at least a portion of an audio port (274) and may include a keypad contact array (108) on the substrate (56) and a display electrode pattern (604) on the substrate (56). A display (52) is coupled to the substrate and is configured to at least partially surround the audio port portion on the substrate. In addition, in one example, the substrate (56) for a handset device (10) may include a first surface and a second surface. A keypad contact array (108) and a display electrode pattern (604) may be included on the first surface (96) of the substrate (56). The display (52) may be operatively coupled to the display electrode pattern (604).
