  • Patent number: 9039155
Abstract: An ink system of an ink jet printer includes a fluid tank. The fluid tank includes a generally conically shaped side wall, the side wall sloping inwardly from a top portion to a bottom portion. A bottom surface is disposed adjacent the bottom portion of the side wall. A first fluid conduit is disposed in the fluid tank and includes an opening adjacent to and above the bottom surface of the fluid tank. A second fluid conduit is disposed in the fluid tank and includes an opening at a location above the opening of the first fluid conduit. A pump is in fluid communication with the first fluid conduit and the second fluid conduit. An ink supply line is in fluid communication with the pump. A print head is in fluid communication with the ink supply line.

  • Patent number: 8425018
Abstract: An ink supply system for an ink jet printer has an ink circuit including a plurality of circuit components and fluid paths for conveying fluid between components. A manifold defines the fluid paths and a plurality of ports in fluid communication with the paths. One of the fluid paths is a solvent supply path for connection to a source of solvent. A second of the fluid paths being a solvent flush path for delivering solvent to an outlet for connection to a print head of the printer. A flush pump is disposed at the manifold between the first and second paths and in fluid communication therewith, the pump being configured to pump the solvent into the solvent flush path.

  • Publication number: 20100116650
Abstract: In the field of fluid treatment, there is a need for a more flexible electrocoagulation unit and a fluid treatment apparatus that is readily configurable to deal efficiently with differently contaminated fluids. An electrocoagulation unit (210), for removing contaminants from a fluid, comprises an electrode chamber, which in use has a top and a bottom. The chamber also has a fluid inlet (14) at or towards its bottom, and is in fluid communication with at least one discharge conduit towards its top to direct fluid from the chamber towards a fluid outlet. The electrocoagulation unit also comprises an electrode module (234) which is removable through the top of the electrode chamber and includes at least one support body that supports a plurality of electrodes (38, 42). The electrode chamber and the electrode module co-operate with one another to restrict the flow of contaminated fluid to regions within the electrode chamber adjacent to active surfaces of the electrodes.
