  • Publication number: 20180202615
Abstract: An illumination apparatus includes a monolithic support substrate and light emitting diodes (LEDs) on one or more external sides of the support substrate. The support substrate may comprise an elongated extrusion enclosing a hollow core. The LEDs may be affixed to rigid or flexible electrical substrates. Each electrical substrate may be affixed to an external side of the extrusion and may include embedded LED circuitry. The hollow core may enable the extrusion to be received in a recessed socket of a light fixture, wherein the recessed socket provides structural support for the applicable end of the extrusion, rendering end caps or end socket adapters unnecessary. The light fixture may include a contact protruding from the recessed socket and the electrical substrates may include circuity configured to couple the LEDs to a source of power not coupled to the protruding contact.

  • Publication number: 20180194089
Abstract: Silicone-containing light fixture optics. A method for manufacturing an optical component may include mixing two precursors of silicone, opening a first gate of an optic forming device, moving the silicone mixture from the extrusion machine into the optic forming device, cooling the silicone mixture as it enters the optic forming device, filling a mold within the optic forming device with the silicone mixture, closing the first gate, and heating the silicone mixture in the mold to at least partially cure the silicone. Alternatively, a method for manufacturing an optical component may include depositing a layer of heat cured silicone optical material to an optical structure, arranging one or more at least partially cured silicone optics on the layer of heat cured silicone optical material, and heating the heat cured silicone optical material to permanently adhere the one or more at least partially cured silicone optics to the optical structure.

  • Patent number: 10019698
Abstract: A payment processing system for processing mobile point-of-sale transactions and extending cash advances to merchants is disclosed. The payment processing system receives repayment of the cash advance from the merchant by withholding a portion of funds from financial transactions processed for the merchant, the portion of funds determined according to repayment terms for the cash advance. The payment processing system receives signals from other products provided to the merchant by the payment processing service provider to determine payment deferral eligibility for the merchant where the payment processing system refrains from taking repayment from the financial transactions processed for the merchant by the payment processing system. The payment deferral eligibility may be determined in response to a merchant request for a payment deferral or automatically by the payment processing system.

  • Patent number: 9984412
Abstract: A payment system can determine whether a merchant is eligible for a cash advance for a particular amount, along with a fee for the cash advance. The particular amount can be determined by evaluating previous financial transactions that were conducted by the merchant through the payment system. Once a determination is made that the merchant is eligible for the cash advance, the payment system can send an offer for the cash advance in the particular amount to the merchant, for example, in the form of an e-mail or text. The merchant can accept the offer for the cash advance by sending an acceptance to the payment system, for example, through a financing interface provided by the payment system. Upon accepting the offer, the merchant is provided the cash advance for the particular amount, for example, in the form of an electronic deposit in a financial account of the merchant.

Abstract: A luminaire provides an asymmetric light distribution biased toward a forward horizontal direction. The luminaire includes a luminaire housing, light engines, dome optics, and first and second reflecting surfaces. The light engines emit light downwardly, and are in a row substantially orthogonal to the forward direction. Each of the dome optics is substantially similar, and refracts the light emitted by at least one of the light engines. The first reflecting surface reflects at least a first portion of the refracted light toward the forward direction, is proximate and behind each of the dome optics, forms an approximately vertical angle, and has a height greater than or equal to a height of the dome optics. The second reflecting surface is forward of the dome optics, forms an angle of 45 degrees or more with respect to vertical, and reflects downwardly at least a second portion of the refracted light.
