  • Publication number: 20200124661
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for detecting and identifying a cause of a hot-switching event in an automated test system. One or more antennae positioned near mechanical relays in the system may be used to sense electromagnetic radiation. The antennae may be configured to respond to electromagnetic radiation of the type generated during a hot-switching event. Signals measured by the antennae may be processed to determine whether the signals have characteristics of hot-switching events. Processing may entail generating a signal envelope and determining whether the envelope has characteristics indicative of a hot-switching event. When a hot-switching event is detected, information to correlate the event to other events in the test system may also be captured. That information may be time information, enabling program test-system program instructions executing at the time of the event to be identified, such that the test system may be reprogrammed to avoid hot-switching events.

  • Publication number: 20190263679
Abstract: Apparatus is disclosed for separating an amount of a substance from groundwater, comprising an elongate chamber (18) having an inlet (22) which is arranged in use to admit groundwater into the chamber near a lower first end (24). There is also a gas sparger (26) located near the first end (24) which admits gas into the chamber for inducing groundwater to flow from the first end (24) of the chamber toward a second end upper end, and for producing a froth layer (32) which rises above an interface with the groundwater including a concentrated amount of the substance. A suction hood (38) can be moved downward from the top of the chamber (18) into a position to collapse the froth layer (32) and to cause it to be removed from the well body (14). The suction hood (38) (acting as a froth depth regulation device) controls the amount of groundwater in the froth layer (32), which influences the concentration of the contaminant substance achieved in the froth layer (32).

  • Publication number: 20190194731
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and kits for identifying microsatellite instability (MSI) in a sample. In particular it relates to identifying microsatellite instability in a tumor sample, which may be from a subject suspected of having colorectal cancer or Lynch syndrome. The methods and kits can be used to identify mismatch repair defects. More particularly the invention relates to a panel of markers for a sequencing based MSI test, that can differentiate between MSI-H and MSS CRCs. The invention also allows for determination of biological significance, differentiating between PCR and sequencing errors and MSI induced indels/mutations.

  • Patent number: 10333887
Abstract: In one embodiment, a network device connected to an Internet Protocol (IP) network and a serial network scans an infrastructure of the serial network. Based on the scanning, the network device can determine one or more serial endpoints within the serial network infrastructure, and may then allocate an IP address to each of the one or more serial endpoints. The network device may then map received IP network traffic into serial protocol commands on the serial network for a destination serial endpoint having an allocated IP address corresponding to a destination IP address of the received IP network traffic, and may also bridge data present on the serial network from a sourcing serial endpoint into an IP message on the IP network with an indication of a corresponding allocated IP address of the sourcing serial endpoint, accordingly.

  • Patent number: 10043696
Abstract: A wafer container utilizes a rigid polymer tubular tower with slots and a “getter” therein for absorbing and filtering moisture and vapors within the wafer container. The tower preferably utilizes a purge grommet at the base of the container and may have a check valve therein to control the flow direction of gas (including air) into and out of the container and with respect to the tower. The tower is sealingly connected with the grommet. The tower may have a getter media piece rolled in an elongate circular fashion forming or shaped as a tube and disposed within the tower and may have axially extending. The media can provide active and/or passive filtration as well as having capabilities to be recharged. Front opening wafer containers for 300 mm sized wafers generally have a pair of recesses on each of the left and right side in the inside rear of the container portions.

  • Patent number: 10032660
Abstract: An improved system and method for purging a microenvironment to desired levels of relative humidity, oxygen, or particulates through the implementation of a purge gas delivery apparatus and method that provides even distribution of the purging gas within the microenvironment. A substrate container has a tower therein with a fluid flow passageway extending the length of the tower. Apertures with porous media between the aperture and fluid flow passageway regulate the volume and pressure of air discharging at each aperture. Alternatively, the tower may be formed of a porous tubular polymeric material. A sleeve may direct the discharge purge gas in the interior.

  • Patent number: 9997388
Abstract: A breather assembly mounted to the purge port of a substrate carrier for coupling with a tool port. In various embodiments, the breather assembly comprises a grommet that presents either a planar or a concave mounting face for coupling to the tool port. In one embodiment, the grommet is of a “solid compliant” construction, wherein the mounting face complies with the mouth of the tool port without substantially changing shape. In other embodiments, the grommet is of a “flexible compliant” construction, wherein the grommet changes shape when engaged with the tool port. The grommet can be configured so that the force (pressure-area product) exerted in the direction towards the tool port is greater than the force exerted in the direction away from the tool port, thereby enhancing the seal between the grommet and the tool port.

  • Publication number: 20180138065
Abstract: A semiconductor wafer container assembly includes a container defining an exterior and defining an interior having a wafer storage area adapted to support one or more semiconductor wafers. The container also defines an opening in the container between the exterior and the interior. The container has a door and a latching mechanism to sealingly secure the door closed, and the door is openable for access to the wafer storage area. A passive getter module is removably secured with respect to the exterior of the container by substantially rigid connection structure that is a part of or extends from substantially rigid getter module housing. Getter material is disposed within the housing to decrease concentration of contaminants within the wafer storage area of the container via the access opening and the opening in the container.
