  • Publication number: 20100147822
Abstract: A glow plug assembly includes an integrated, internal pressure sensor. In order to reduce loading on the center electrode, improve sensor responsiveness, and provide better thermal performance, the pressure sensor assembly is housed in a canister which forms a containment capsule and rigidly connects inside the glow plug shell near its seat area. The pressure sensor makes direct contact with the base end of the heater probe so that movements of the heater probe caused by fluctuations in gas pressure lead directly to changing force on the sensor stack.

  • Publication number: 20100122975
Abstract: A glow plug assembly (110) has a metallic heater probe (118) supported within a metal shell (112). A transition zone (144) at the base of the shell (112) includes a membrane (146) and a tube portion (148). A first open end (130) of the heater probe (118) is formed with a reduced diameter pilot section (150) that mates with the tube portion (148) to establish a joint area between the components. The membrane (146) may be made elastically deflectable so as to accommodate integration of a pressure sensor (156) in the glow plug assembly (110).

A terminal extends from the terminal end and is configured in electrical communication with the electrode. A metal shell surrounds at least a portion of the insulator. The metal shell is free of external threads for attachment to a cylinder block. A connecting wire extends from the terminal for electrical communication with a power source. A tube has a lower end that receives the terminal end of the insulator therein. The tube extends about the connecting wire to an upper end opposite the lower end. • Publication number: 20070214127
Abstract: Extraction of data employing a sequence of remote function calls in form of a synchronous multi-batch call chain is provided. Sequencing of calls is enabled by generating parameters associated with the extraction of a next batch of data. The parameterized, dynamic generation of queries allows for optimization of memory utilization by batching result sets and data conversion. Each subsequent call retrieves a packet of data, picking up where the previous call left off without an overlap. Parameters are updated after each call based on extracted data, available memory, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20050001526
Abstract: A spark plug (30; 40) comprises an electrically-insulating sleeve (12), a first electrode (16), an electrically-conducting shell (20) surrounding said sleeve, and a second electrode (22) mounted on said shell. The electrodes (16 and 22) define a spark gap (G1) of the plug. The shell (20) has an end portion (20c) terminating at an end surface (20b) of the shell. The sleeve (12)extends past said end portion (20c) with a clearance therebetween and extends beyond said end surface (20b). • Patent number: 4104423
Abstract: Addition compounds of sulfur dioxide and Schiff bases from primary aliphatic or araliphatic amines and aromatic aldehydes can be used for the sealing of the surface of phosphated mild steel. As a result of this the corrosion resistance of the steel and the adhesion of paint coatings on the treated steel are increased substantially. The addition compounds may have three different structures depending on the components used. They can be prepared easily by passing a stream of SO.sub.2 through the solution of the Schiff base.
