In some embodiments, the computer systems and methods may comprise determining an application to execute on an Internet-connectable device in response to a user interaction with an advertisement displayed on the Internet-connectable device; causing the Internet-connectable device to execute the application; receiving a security token, wherein the security token indicates successful authentication of the user by a transaction server associated with the application; after receiving the security token, initiating at least one transaction with the transaction server on behalf of the application in response to a user action within the application; and communicating results of the at least one transaction to the user.

Abstract: A method, system, and computer-readable storage device for serving advertisements based on user data using a computer network are provided. In at least one embodiment, a method may comprise receiving a request from a publisher for at least one advertisement, wherein the request comprises user context data. The method may also comprise receiving a permission profile from the publisher corresponding to the user context data, wherein the permission profile defines permissive use of the user context data. The method may also comprise supplementing previously stored data with the user context data and determining at least one advertisement based on the supplemented data and the permission profile.
