  • Patent number: 11297804
Abstract: The storm proof bird feeder may comprise a feed dispensing tube, a feeding plate, a floating collar, and a seed reservoir. The storm proof bird feeder may be a feeding station adapted to feed birds. The feed dispensing tube may dispense bird seed from the seed reservoir onto the feeding plate from whence the bird seed may be consumed. A gap height of a seed gap between the bottom of the feed dispensing tube and the feeding plate may be adjustable such that the gap height may be changed in correlation with the size of the bird seed being dispensed. The adjustment of the gap height and the use of the floating collar surrounding the feed dispensing tube may improve the operation of the storm proof bird feeder in adverse weather conditions.

  • Patent number: 5003759
Abstract: A brush mower head adapted to be carried by an articulating crane comprises:(1) a casing, adapted to be mounted to a crane(2) a motor carried by the casing, and(3) a drum with a center shaft mounted for rotation in the casing and powered by the motor, the axis for rotation in the drum in use being generally parallel to the ground. The drum is a cylinder having a length at least twice its diameter and has at least two hammer shafts running end to end parallel to the axis of rotation and being in balanced relationship one to another to minimize rotational imbalance of the drum. Hammers are mounted on the hammer shafts for free rotation thereabout in each of said wells. The hammers when the drum is rotating for mowing protrude by a centrifugal force beyond the surface of the cylinder and present a cutting edge to the brush being engaged.

  • Patent number: 4764475
Abstract: A correlation has been demonstrated between the ability of an antibody to block the inhibitory action of somatostatin on the gastric inhibitory peptide(GIP)-stimulated release of insulin from the pancreas in vitro and the ability to stimulate growth in vivo. Antibodies which are identified in the GIP-stimulated insulin release assay are also capable of elevating the levels of growth hormone in vivo.
