  • Publication number: 20240118790
Abstract: A computer readable media, a method, and a system registering a third party application providing an available communication system between a local user and a remote user identity, storing information related to the available communication system in a first database, obtaining contact information for the remote user identity from the third party application, determining a communication type for the third party application, pairing the remote user identity with a contact, and updating a graphical representation of contact information.

  • Publication number: 20170305501
Abstract: An improved method for building a lapstrake boat 240 includes an improved strake structure 152 having a wide rabbet 182 running the length of said strake's lower edge 164 and inside face and having a selected rabbet width which defines a joint overlap region with a bond receiving gap 210. The strake's rabbet width is preferably three times the plank's thickness 180 along most of its length but may taper. A plurality of temporary tie receiving holes 220 are bored through the thickness of the strake, and entirely within the rabbet segment of the strake for coaxial alignment with adjacent holes 224 in the adjacent strake. Adjacent strakes 150, 152 are aligned and tied together so that the wide rabbet segment 182 in the bottom edge of one adjoining strake 152 overlaps and is tied to a selected surface area on the outside face of the adjoining strake 150.

  • Patent number: 5327899
Abstract: A polygraph automated scoring system in which polygraph signals are input and a probability of deception is output. To begin the process, digitized polygraph signals are transformed into more fundamental signals. These fundamental signals are then subjected to standardization, a critical step. The standardized signals then have certain features extracted at each question. The features for all of the relevant questions are then standardized against the features for all of the control questions. From each of the resulting standardized relevant features, the 80th percentile is taken. Finally, a logistic regression model (logit) converts this set of 80th percentile features into a probability of deception.

  • Patent number: 5311876
Abstract: A patient monitoring system and a method of operating same, including automatically detecting a seizure in the patient, by detecting an electrical discharge in the patient's brain; converting the detected electrical discharge into a digital signal; inputting the digital signal into a microprocessor; detecting a seizure by dividing the digital signals into time segments, preprocessing each time segment including standardizing the signal, reducing the signal in each time segment to a feature, the feature providing information about whether a seizure is occurring using the feature from each time segment; and indicating that a seizure is occurring.

  • Patent number: 4840371
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a novelty golf club including a body made to resemble a golf club having a head, a shaft and a grip. In reality, the head is hollow and contains a sound producing device powered by batteries contained beneath the handle grip through wires contained within the shaft. An end cap is removably placeable over a battery chamber opening at the upper end of the handle grip. The sound producing device may be activated by a switch conveniently located on the golf head and may contain a miniature record disc having recorded therein such sounds as laughter, barking dogs, fire engine sounds, crying baby sounds, coughing, and the like.

  • Patent number: 4466878
Abstract: A replaceable cartridge assembly for use with electrochemical analysis apparatus includes a housing of electrically insulating material that defines an annular electrolyte chamber with coupling structure at one end of the housing and a chamber port at the other end of the housing. A selectively permeable membrane extends across the port in sealing relation thereto. An elongated guide channel within the housing is surrounded by the electrolyte chamber and receives a cooperating connector stem that carries a socket-temperature sensor assembly. A cathode electrode projects coaxially upwardly from the end wall of the guide channel into the stem socket and the lower portion of the cathode electrode extends through the guide channel end wall such that its tip is exposed to the membrane. An anode electrode is disposed in the electrolyte chamber with an external contact surface adjacent the coupling structure.
