  • Patent number: 7835994
Abstract: A flow-through transaction is effectuated with regard to a deposit account at a financial institution by an intermediary between a customer and the financial institution. The customer is received at a site of the intermediary and a type of the flow-through transaction is determined therefrom. An identification of the financial institution, the account thereat, and an amount of funds involved are received, and a request to a clearinghouse is initiated for the transaction. The clearinghouse establishes that the request is satisfactory and returns an approval of same to guarantee that the transaction is to be performed. A confirmation is provided to the customer upon receiving the approval.
