  • Publication number: 20140222660
Abstract: A method for determining a bill mix in an electronic cash dispenser comprises: receiving a transaction request comprised of a transaction type and a dispense amount; evaluating the transaction type; evaluating the dispense amount; and determining the bill mix according to a dispense definition based on a plurality of criteria including transaction type and dispense amount. The method may further include evaluating day of the transaction request, time of the transaction request, patron information such as player tracking data, and/or bill inventory level. The method may also include receiving patron preference input. The dispense definition may comprise a minimum definition that defines a minimum quantity for each bill denomination to include in the bill mix. If a remainder exists after the minimum definition is applied to the dispense amount, the dispense definition may further comprises a remainder definition that calculates a remainder bill mix based on a least note methodology.

  • Publication number: 20140195414
Abstract: A method for establishing one or more terms of a financial transaction comprises: receiving a player identifier; retrieving player tracking data provided by a player tracking system; and determining the at least one term based on the player tracking data. In one embodiment, the financial transaction is cashing of a check and the at least one term is a check cashing limit. The player tracking data may comprise of a player rating established by the tracking system or at least one type of player tracking data such as the player's previous bets and/or winnings. Player tracking data may be retrieved by a real-time electronic connection to the tracking system; by periodic exportation from the tracking system and importation into a check cashing system; or by separate retrieval from the tracking system and then manual imputation into the check cashing system for embodiments without an electronic interface to the tracking system.

  • Patent number: 5343071
Abstract: A semiconductor structure having an active layer formed over a first surface of a substrate. The semiconductor structure includes an electrode formed over a first surface of the structure. A conductive layer is formed over a second surface of the substrate. A conductor section passes through the semiconductor structure between the electrode and the conductive layer. The conductor section includes two conductive elements, one having a first end connected to the electrode and a second end terminating in the semiconductor structure; and the other conductive element having a first end connected to the conductive layer and a second end connected to the second end of the first conductive element. The second end terminates at, or in, an etch resistant layer disposed in the semiconductor structure between the active layer and the substrate. The method for forming the conductive sections includes etching the second via hole from the second surface of the substrate until the etching reaches an etch resistant layer.

  • Patent number: 5140386
Abstract: A high electron mobility transistor includes a pair of charge screen layers disposed over a first one of active and charge donor layers of the high electron mobility transistor. The pair of screen layers are patterned to provide a double recessed channel. A first charge screen layer disposed adjacent to the charge donor layer is etched to provide a recess having a first length between source and drain electrodes, whereas a second charge screen layer disposed over the first aforementioned charge screen layer, as well as, a portion of the aforementioned first charge screen layer are etched to provide a second, substantially longer length between source and drain electrodes. The gate electrode is provided in the first aforementioned recess in Schottky barrier contact with the charge donor layer.

  • Patent number: 4348432
Abstract: Radially-propagating, free, liquid sheets comprising single or multiple discrete layers are used to coat moving substrates. The use of these free liquid sheets allows the high speed application of single or multicomponent coatings to substrates. Apparatus for forming radially-propagating, free, liquid sheets and applying the sheets to substrates in the form of coatings is also disclosed.
