  • Publication number: 20220205074
Abstract: A copper alloy that is devoid of beryllium and has a 0.2% offset yield strength of at least 70 ksi and an electrical conductivity of at least 75% IACS is disclosed. The copper alloy comprises chromium, silicon, silver, titanium, zirconium, and balance copper. The alloy is prepared by cold working, solution annealing, and aging. The alloy can be used in several different applications.

  • Publication number: 20210130931
Abstract: A copper alloy that does not contain beryllium and has a 0.2% offset yield strength of at least 80 ksi and an electrical conductivity of at least 48% IACS is disclosed. The copper alloy contains nickel, silicon, chromium, manganese, zirconium, and balance copper. The alloy is prepared by cold working, solution annealing, and aging. The alloy can be used for example, as a heat sink.

  • Patent number: 9334551
Abstract: Disclosed herein are nickel beryllium alloys having improved corrosion and hardness characteristics relative to known nickel beryllium alloys. The alloys have a chemical composition with about 1.5% to 5% beryllium (Be) by weight, about 0.5% to 7% niobium (Nb) by weight; and nickel (Ni). Up to about 5 wt % chromium (Cr) may also be included. The alloys display improved hardness and corrosion resistance properties.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4435213
Abstract: Aluminum alloy atomized or other powder is compacted and shaped into a useful article including heating the compact rapidly by induction heating techniques. Such rapid induction heating results in improved strength or toughness properties without substantial penalty in elongation, thereby rendering the product so produced more useful in high strength applications. The product so produced may be subsequently shaped by forging, extruding or rolling processes.
