Abstract: A jig for assembling a cabinet is disclosed. The jig includes a clamp assembly pivotally attached to a base. The clamp assembly includes a first jaw and a second jaw configured to apply a clamping force therebetween. The clamp assembly can pivot between a first position and a first inclined position. In the first position, a front support plate of the clamp assembly is oriented vertically, and in the first inclined position, a first angle less than 90 degrees is formed between the front support plate and a support surface on which the base rests. The clamp assembly may also pivot to a second inclined position at which a second angle less than the first angle is formed between the front support plate and the support surface.

Abstract: The present invention allows Internet instant messaging to be accessed via a telephone. Instant messaging access from any telephone in the world may be provided via a telephone messaging system. Alternatively, access can be embodied independently as a stand-alone telephone service, for example provided by a telephone company, provided by a company network, or provided by a user's personal IVR service implemented on his PC. An advantage of the present invention is providing simple, cost effective and readily available access to data network instant messaging from a telephone.

Abstract: In a communications network, a method and apparatus are disclosed for using a graphical user interface for telephony call control. A method is also disclosed for sending a datagram from a called party to a calling party. Call control of a call is diverted to a voice-mail system. The IP address of the caller is determined. The IP address of the caller is determined by either a search on a look-up table or from a voice over Internet call set up message. Call control information, or a datagram is sent to the caller. In the case of call control information, the caller inputs call control commands which are received by the voice mail system. The invention provides an easier method and apparatus to navigate voice-mail menus and reduces the problem of “voice-mail jail”.

Abstract: When a caller calls a call busy called station, the caller may request that a message be provided to the called station while the caller waits. In such instance, the called station receives the message while busy with the other call. The message may be speech indications provided by the caller which are received by the called station at a volume normally associated with a whisper. The speech indications may be recorded from the caller and the caller given an opportunity to edit same before they are sent. The message may also be a text message where the called station supports text or has an associated text-based telephone appliance.

Abstract: The present invention seeks to provide a bridge between traditional TDM PBX/KTS messaging and current IP-based messaging, allowing effective deployment of a hosted service in a transitional network that still requires TDM access via the PSTN. According to the present invention, the centralized messaging system of the prior art is decomposed into a back end cluster and a plurality of telephony access nodes (TANs). Each of the TANs will: terminate media and call processing from an associated local telephony switch; contain the service logic for the messaging application; and interact with the back end cluster. This provision permits a user to perform communications on a local telephony access node without making a call over the public switched network. However, a switch is also provided at each telephony access node to permit user access to the telephony access node.

Abstract: A power hand drill is clamped in the carriage which is slideably mounted on the vertical column. The lever arm is moved about a fixed pivot to control movement of the carriage. The lever arm is tubular and has a push rod extending from the handle into the interior of the housing to actuate a switch which, when closed, connects the power supply cord to a receptacle into which the drill power cord is plugged. The drill power switch is tied in the closed position. Therefore the user can control drill feed and operation with one hand.
