    Abstract: An apparatus and method for cleaning and polishing the yarn heater track of a yarn processing machine which includes guiding a rotating abrasion wheel along the yarn heater slot to dislodge the accumulated deposits and while simultaneously directing a fluid stream or mist into the slot to aid in removal of the dislodged deposits from the slot. The apparatus is portable and can be easily moved from one yarn processing station to the next station of a yarn processing machine and can be operated without requiring a drastic reduction in the amount of heat in the heater block.
