  • Patent number: 11938259
Abstract: Blood treatment systems and methods are provided for combining a blood separation system and an adsorption device. The blood separation system is configured to separate a blood component from blood, while the adsorption device is configured to receive at least a portion of the separated blood component and process it. The blood separation system includes a fluid flow element and a controller. The fluid flow element is configured for flowing the separated blood component into the adsorption device. The controller controls the fluid flow element based at least in part on one or more processing parameters. The processing parameters include a maximum flow rate of the separated blood component flowed into the adsorption device, a maximum pressure of the separated blood component flowed into the adsorption device, and/or the volume of fluid in a location of the system.

  • Patent number: 8428624
Abstract: A method in one application of maintaining a paging status associated with a communication device. The method also comprises paging the communication device based on the paging status. A system in one application comprising a communications controller configured to store a paging status that is associated with a communication device. The system further comprising a communications manager communicatively coupled to the communications controller. Also, at least one data store is communicatively coupled to the communications controller. The communications controller pages a communication device based on a paging status. The paging status is stored in one of the at least one data store.

  • Patent number: 8032161
Abstract: A method in one example has the steps of: notifying a calling mobile terminal that a called mobile terminal is not available to receive a call; and notifying the called mobile terminal that an unsuccessful call attempt was made to the called mobile terminal via a mobile terminated short message when one of the following occurs, the called mobile terminal completes a current call and the called mobile terminal powers on.

  • Publication number: 20080150092
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention relate to systems, devices, and methods for treating a semiconductor substrate, such as a silicon wafer, in order to reduce current leakage therein. A semiconductor substrate is provided a plurality of heating treatments that create a denuded zone adjacent to a surface of the substrate and a core zone below the denuded zone. Oxygen impurities within the denuded zone are removed through an oxygen out-diffusion heat treatment. A plurality of macroscopic bulk micro defects is generated within the core zone through the combination of an agglomeration heat treatment and a macroscopic growth heat treatment. This plurality of macroscopic bulk micro defects inhibits migration of metallic contaminants that are located within the substrate. For exemplary purposes, certain embodiments are described relating to a semiconductor wafer heated in a sequence of three treatments.

  • Patent number: 7366526
Abstract: This technique is applied in the circumstances where an intersystem page message, e.g. an IS-41 ISPAGE2 message, is received in a first border switching module. The intersystem page message may originate from a second border switching module. In this case, the network determines whether the second border switching module is manufactured by a different network provider than the first border switching module. If so, a routine to address inconsistencies in the location area parameter is implemented so that an efficient paging strategy can be invoked.
