Abstract: A device for separating opposed ceramic elements from a metal base member, the device including a rigid body shaped complementarily to an inside surface of the base member and receivable therein. Opposed wedge members are mounted are in the body wall. The body includes a threaded interior surface. A bolt is included for threaded engagement with the interior surface and has a conically-shaped end. Each wedge member is engageable with one of the ceramic elements, such that upon inserting of the body in the base member and threaded movement of the bolt inward to the body, the end of the bolt engages the wedge members to urge the wedge members outward through a body wall to engage the ceramic elements to urge the ceramic elements apart and to separate from the base member.

It also provides a means to speed rehabilitation of the injured and a means to deliver more comfortable and effective prostheses while providing superior physical therapy without draining professional resources which includes new simulation and training means. Most of the apparatus is worn under normal clothing allowing them to enjoy a normal appearance. Additional advancements include improved actuator design, user interface, visual means and advanced responsive virtual reality.

Abstract: An apparatus for reconciling checking account and other transaction data including first and second data reconciliation control units, each including associated memory, data transference/communication channels for facilitating two-way data communication between the first and second data reconciliation control units, data comparison circuitry, data discrepancy identification circuitry, data editing circuitry and data display circuitry. Data stored in the first memory is compared with data stored in the second memory and discrepancies are identified and if desired the first data set is automatically revised to conform to the second data set. The system gives the user an authorized validation message when the account is reconciled. It also provides for pre-reconciliation error detecting and float projecting for estimating real balances based upon typical transaction clearing delays.
