  • Patent number: 11934768
Abstract: An electronic document associated with users of a collaborative document platform is identified. The electronic document is associated with an approval data structure including entries that correspond to approval requests. A portion of an approval data structure is included within the content of the electronic document for presentation to a first user. A first user updates a first entry of the portion of the approval data structure included within the content of the electronic is detected. The update to the first entry corresponds to a first approval request for a second user to approve a portion of the electronic document. A first notification is transmitted to a second client device associated with the second user. The first notification indicates the first approval request. The approval data structure is updated to include data of the first entry.

  • Patent number: 9623645
Abstract: A discontinuous manufacturing process performs at least one processing step on a web of material unwound from a roll, applies an indicator code to the unwound web of material for indicating at least one finishing step the web of material is to be subjected to, rewinds the web of material having the indicator code on another roll and then transfers the rewound web of material to a remote finishing facility. At the remote finishing facility, the web of material is again unwound and transported towards a finishing station. The indicator code on the web of material is read at the finishing station and then directed to a location where an appropriate finishing step is performed on the web of material prior to it being rewound on a roll to form a product roll.

  • Patent number: 8085153
Abstract: A device for monitoring the activity of a user to prevent deep vein thrombosis when working. The device comprises a carrier (20) for positioning on or adjacent a user, a motion sensor (10) mounted on the carrier (20) and adapted to detect the user performing a predefined motion, processor adapted to filter the motion detected to remove background motion not attributable to the desired exercise and to reset a timer (12) when the predefined motion is detected. An alarm (14) is operated by the processor should the time period elapse without the exercise pattern being detected. The components are all contained in the carrier (20) which is preferably a small container that can be attached to a user's trousers or around the limb of a wearer. Failure to undertake the required motion will cause the alarm (14) to be activated, thus notifying the wearer of the omission.

  • Patent number: 7685241
Abstract: A system and method are directed towards mapping a first user ID, such as an alias game ID, which may be used by multiple users, to a second user ID, such as a portal messenger ID. A user registers with an intermediary service, such as a game data aggregation service, and provides both the first user ID and the second user ID. The aggregation service detects when the first user ID is being used by one or more users in a first service, such as an online game service. The aggregation service also detects when a client probe reports to a second service, such as a portal messenger service, that the second user ID is participating in the same service. The aggregation service determines whether one instance of the first user ID from the first service corresponds to the second user ID from the second service.

  • Publication number: 20060259623
Abstract: A system and method are directed towards managing communication with an online service on behalf of a device that may have intermittent communication. A proxy server provides a reliable communication session with the online service, such as a game service, and relays information between the online service and an intermittent communication device, such as a mobile terminal. The proxy server stores messages and/or other information from the online service while the intermittent communication device is not communicating with the proxy server. The proxy server may manage the communication upon request from the intermittent communication device, the online service, or from another source such as a portal with which the intermittent communication device communicates. The proxy server uses a table of unique identifiers to map messages between multiple intermittent communication devices and one or more online services. Proxy communication may terminate after a command or an elapsed time of interrupted communication.

  • Publication number: 20050281934
Abstract: An efficient method for the continuous production of a dairy-based confection prevents protein burning and precipitation during processing. The method comprises heating an aqueous sugar composition to at least its boiling point in a first heat exchanger, admixing a dairy component with the boiling, aqueous sugar composition after it exits the first heat exchanger to form a dairy-based mass, and cooking the dairy-based mass to a desired final temperature in a second heat exchanger, without substantial separation or precipitation of the protein within the second heat exchanger. The first and second heat exchangers are preferably plate and frame heat exchangers. The solids content of the dairy-based mass is preferably increased prior to entering the second heat exchanger and again after leaving the second heat exchanger. The solids content of the cooked, dairy-based mass is increased to at least about 88% by weight, preferably at least about 90% by weight.

  • Publication number: 20050260904
Abstract: A laminate having a moisture vapor transmission rate greater than one perm is formed from an open mesh fabric having a monolithic liquid barrier and vapor permeable coating provided on a surface thereof. The infiltration of air and bulk moisture to the interior of a building structure can be prevented by incorporating the laminate into the building structure. The laminate can also be used as a window flashing and vehicle undersiding to prevent the infiltration of air and bulk moisture.

  • Publication number: 20050133152
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a photocurable composition for use as an encapsulant, for underfill or attachment adhesives, capable of curing at wavelengths greater than 290 nm. Reaction products of these photocurable compositions have a low level of extractable halide ion, such as less than 100 ppm. In use, the photocurable composition may be applied, for instance, over the wire bonds that electrically connect a semiconductor device to a substrate to maintain a fixed positional relationship and protect the integrity of the electrical connection from vibrational and shock disturbances, as well as from interference from environmental contaminants.

  • Patent number: RE39761
Abstract: A laminate wall structure which can be used as an exterior wall in manufactured housing and site built construction is made up of a low density layer having a density of from about one-half pound to three pounds per cubic foot, a second, reinforcing layer laminated to the low density layer and, optionally, a cellulosic layer laminated to the second, reinforcing layer. The low density layer is preferably a foamed polymer layer, the second, reinforcing layer is a polymer fabric, a biaxially oriented polymeric film or a fiberglass reinforced material and the cellulosic layer can be impregnated with an adhesive and/or resin in order to strengthen the laminate structure. This laminate wall structure has a low weight and yet is strong enough to meet wind zone wall diaphragm requirements for housing construction.
