  • Patent number: 11957408
Abstract: A medical device that includes a handle, a sheath extending from the handle, and a tool within the sheath and movable relative to the sheath. The handle includes an inner body and an outer body disposed over the inner body. The outer body is movable relative to the inner body. The handle includes a first actuator secured to the tool. The first actuator has an actuated state permitting movement of the tool relative to the sheath in response to moving the outer body relative to the inner body. The handle includes a second actuator secured to the sheath. The second actuator has an actuated state permitting movement of the sheath relative to the tool in response to moving the second actuator relative to the outer body. An unactuated state of the first actuator and an unactuated state of the second actuator prevents movement of the tool relative to the sheath.

  • Patent number: 10920923
Abstract: A portable mounting device that is configured to mount relatively small accessory devices, such as radars or lights, on a vessel or vehicle, such as a boat. The device uses a number of connectors that enable its components to be easily assembled and disassembled for ease of use, transportation, and storage, while still forming a strong device that is capable of supporting the accessory device.

  • Publication number: 20190321157
Abstract: A number of gallbladder treatment devices and methods treating gallstone disease are included. A gallbladder treatment device has a structure secured within the gallbladder to maintain gallstones and gallstone fragments within the gallbladder interior and distal to the gallbladder neck. A gallbladder treatment device may be put into therapeutic use by first accessing the gallbladder interior and then advancing the gallbladder treatment device into the gallbladder interior. The gallbladder treatment device is then positioned within the gallbladder interior in an orientation to maintain gallstones and gallstone fragments on one side of the device and away from or distal to the gallbladder neck.

  • Publication number: 20170246419
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to devices, systems, and methods for mixing and/or blending two or more fluids, such as gases, to produce suitable mixed or blended fluids, such as a breathable gas. For example, the system may control and/or regulate flow from of first fluid from a first source and/or flow of a second fluid from a second source. The system may include a controller that may operate or direct operation of one or more valves to control the flow of the first and second fluids, thereby producing a blended or mixed fluid that has selected concentrations or proportions (or ratios) of the first and second fluids.

  • Patent number: 9707371
Abstract: A ventilator includes a compressor, a storage vessel, a valve assembly communicating with the compressor, the storage vessel, and an inhalation line. A controller directs the valve assembly between a storage configuration where ventilation gas is delivered from the compressor into the storage vessel, and a delivery configuration where ventilation gas is delivered from the storage vessel to the inhalation line. The controller is coupled to a pressure sensor for detecting a first pressure within the storage vessel when the valve assembly is directed to the delivery configuration, and detecting subsequent pressure while ventilation gas is delivered from the storage vessel to the inhalation line, the controller determining the volume of ventilation gas delivered to the patient based at least in part on the difference between the first pressure and the subsequent pressure.
