  • Publication number: 20080000464
Abstract: A projectile core is provided formed from a carrier and a colorant. The carrier and colorant are mixed into a core mixture, which is formed into a predetermined core shape. The core mixture is cured until substantially firm, such as by drying, heating or freezing. An outer layer may be formed adjacent the surface of the projectile core by heating. An outer coating may also be applied to the projectile core. A method of forming a projectile core comprises: (a) mixing a carrier and a colorant to form a core mixture; (b) forming the core mixture into a predetermined core shape; and, (c) curing the core mixture until a substantially firm projectile core is formed.

  • Publication number: 20070215135
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an electronically controlled paintball marker with magnetic control, having a trigger in communication with an electronic controller and a bolt configured to reciprocate in response to a magnetic force applied to a portion of the bolt during a firing sequence. Actuation of the trigger initiates a firing sequence activating electromagnets controlled by the electronic controller.

  • Publication number: 20070131209
Abstract: An electronic paintball marker has a breech having an opening that receives a paintball to be fired, the paintball having substantially two positions within the breech, a loaded position and a firing position, and a bolt with two corresponding rearward and forward positions that moves the paintball between the loaded and firing positions. The marker also has a sensor in communication with an electronic controller and positioned to detect a paintball in the loaded position within the breech, wherein, when the sensor detects the paintball in the loaded position, the sensor sends a detection signal to the electronic controller which in turn allows the bolt to move from the rearward to the forward position. Finally, the marker has a trigger that sends a firing signal to the electronic controller, the firing signal initiating a firing sequence comprising the sensor detecting a paintball within the breech, the electronic controller moving the valve from the closed state to the open state, and firing the paintball.

  • Publication number: 20070125351
Abstract: A spin attachment attachable to the firing end of the barrel of a compressed gas gun and a method of using the same is disclosed. The spin attachment allows a user to control the spin on a projectile exiting the muzzle end of a barrel of a compressed gas gun, which in turn, allows the user to curve the trajectory of the projectile after it is fired from the spin attachment.

  • Publication number: 20070056573
Abstract: A paintball agitator housed within a loader of a paintball gun is provided. The agitator includes a rotatable shaft having a drive end and a second end, and at least one fin extending radially from the shaft adjacent the second end of the shaft. The at least one fin is configured for movement in a substantially perpendicular plane relative to the shaft upon unimpeded rotation of the shaft. The at least one fin is adapted for movement in a plurality of substantially non-perpendicular planes upon contact with an obstruction within the loader, thereby permitting continuous rotation of the shaft and agitation of paintballs contained within the loader. The shaft may include a rigid drive-end segment and a flexible second-end segment, or it may include a flexible drive-end segment and a rigid second-end segment. Alternatively, the entire length of the shaft may be made of flexible and resilient material.

  • Publication number: 20060196489
Abstract: An improved paintball feed mechanism for a paintball loader is disclosed, including a drive shaft and a motor for actuating the drive shaft. At least on rigid projection is provided connected to the drive shaft by an elastic member. The elastic member is formed so that it will bend when the rigid projection encounters a jammed or stationary paintball in the paintball loader, thus preventing paintball breakage.
