  • Publication number: 20140311007
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to firearm triggers comprising engagement profiles. In various embodiments, a trigger mechanism may include a trigger component and/or trigger shank have a first profile and a second profile. The location of the second profile relative to an operator may be a second of the shape of the first profile.

  • Publication number: 20140297060
Abstract: A system for controlling functions of a vehicle by speech is disclosed. The system includes a mobile terminal of a network, speech processor for converting recorded speech into digital characters, and a vehicle-based interface. The mobile network terminal includes a microphone for recording a user's speech, and a terminal interface for communication with the vehicle-based interface. The vehicle-based interface is connected to a subsystem of the vehicle for controlling it based on messages received from the mobile network terminal. The mobile network terminal is adapted to process a string of digital characters derived from the user's speech into a message and to transmit said message to the vehicle-based interface.

  • Patent number: 8014314
Abstract: A digital subscriber link data network incorporates a throughput test server (TTS) to provide fault identification, isolation, and verification of DSL service availability and data rates. An asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) terminal unit-remote (ATU-R) is connected to an ADSL terminal unit-central office (ATU-C) over a conventional copper loop or equivalent. Data connectivity via a packet switch provides access to high speed data networks, TTS connectivity and interfaces to service providers (SPS). Upon receiving a test request, a technician routes a customer to the TTS. The customer uses a web browser to access the TTS and download executable testing software, e.g., a JAVA applet. The applet causes test messages to be sent to and received from the TTS and computes upstream and downstream data rates that is displayed to the customer together with whether the measured data rates are consistent with a specified class of service.

  • Patent number: 7195193
Abstract: An apparatus and method of unrolling and stretching fence wire for use with a vehicle is disclosed. This device is designed to aid in the installation of fencing such as woven, barb or welded wire and other types of roll fencing. The device stretches fencing against the preset posts as it is spooling the fencing material by applying constant tension on the dispensed fencing. This device allows the installer to attach the fence to the posts without loosing tension and having to re-stretch the fence before permanently attaching it. The fencing material is guided through the tensioning rollers that apply pressure onto the fencing material. The tensioning rollers are adjustable and tension is applied to the wire by a brake mechanism. The device holds four rolls of fencing wire and allows for continuous fencing by splicing a new roll to the end of another before going through the tensioning rollers.

  • Patent number: 6353705
Abstract: A speed control circuit of a direct current motor comprises a switching regulator IC 10. The switching regulator IC 10 is composed of a reference voltage generator 12 which generates a reference voltage of 5V, a first operational amplifier OP1, a second operational amplifier OP2, a third operational amplifier OP3, a triangular wave generator 14 which generates a triangular wave, and a transistor TR1. The speed control circuit is constructed using a general switching regulator IC; therefore, it is possible to cheaply and readily manufacture the speed control circuit of the direct current motor.

  • Patent number: 4740666
Abstract: An improved electrical discharge machining electrode permitting improved cutting action to be achieved at the same level of electrical power being applied to the wire electrode. Such improvement is attributable to a particular configuration and the material being employed in the wire electrode which has an iron alloy core coated with an intermediate layer including a copper and zinc heat reaction product on which is deposited an adherent carbon surface coating. The improved method and apparatus for employment of this electrode is also described along with one method to form the multilayer coating on the electrode wire core.

  • Patent number: 4495558
Abstract: Thickness of an electrically insulative metal oxide film deposited on an electrically conductive metal substrate is determined by electrolytically reducing the metal oxide in an electrochemical cell while continuously measuring the cell voltage. A mathematical relationship between the cell voltage change and elapsed time of electrolytic reduction serves as a means for determining thickness of said oxide coating. This method and apparatus is particularly suitable for measurement of the oxide coating thickness on a metal wire substrate.
