  • Patent number: 4346987
Abstract: A system for projecting an image, via projection optics, from multiple circuits formed on a glass master onto a photoresist coated PCB panel. The projection optics precisely magnifies the reduced pattern formed on the master to full scale while maintaining the image-plane light uniformity. To insure proper magnification, the conjugate distances between the master and the projection optics and between the projection optics and the PCB panel are precisely controlled. Further, the relevant planes containing the master, optics and PCB panel are controlled to insure substantial perpendicularity with respect to the optical axis. A registration subsystem is also provided to register the PCB panelholding platen.

  • Patent number: 4308544
Abstract: A technique for adjusting the laser beam in a laser printing system in a simplified, inexpensive manner. The system includes an acousto-optic modulator having a transducer associated therewith. The electronic video stream is mixed with the signal generated by the carrier oscillator, the mixer output being amplified and then applied as a driver signal to the transducer. Means are provided to allow the frequency of the oscillator to be adjusted such that the position of the deflected beam is correspondingly adjusted until the unbalance of the laser beam power at the recording medium due to tolerance build-up between the system components is minimized thereby significantly extending the life of the laser.

  • Patent number: 4193101
Abstract: Apparatus for loading a collet with respect to a rotatable drive hub of a magnetic disk drive machine for gripping a magnetic disk between the collet and drive hub including a leaf spring supported at opposite ends with respect to a machine frame and carrying the collet at an intermediate place between the ends. One of the ends of the spring is pivotally mounted on the frame, and a manually rotatable lever applies a force onto the leaf spring between its pivotal mounting and the collet so as to move the collet to engage the disk between the collet and drive hub against the resilience of the leaf spring.

  • Patent number: 4152518
Abstract: 3-(Substituted-amino)-2,1-benzisothiazoles useful as anti-inflammatory agents are prepared by reductive cyclization of appropriately substituted 2-nitrothiobenzamides or by reaction of 3-chloro-2,1-benzisothiazoles with suitably substituted amines.

  • Patent number: 4067000
Abstract: A battery powered ultrasonic remote control transmitter for controlling various functions associated with a television receiver, or the like, includes an arrangement for providing an audible indication that the battery voltage has fallen below a desired operating level. In one embodiment, when the battery voltage has fallen below the desired level, the electrical control signal for at least one control function is selectively amplitude modulated by an audio frequency signal before being coupled to the ultrasonic transducer. As a result, when the control function is selected, an operator is given an audible indication that the battery needs recharging or replacement.

  • Patent number: 4050137
Abstract: A string changer cable for compound bows has a pair of tubular members of split-sleeve construction for engaging the tension cables of the compound bow as well as the bowstring holders. Each tubular member has an elongate slot providing tension cable access to an inner tapered passage which captively holds the tension cable during the string changing operation.

  • Patent number: 4007647
Abstract: A choke control assembly for use in connection with dual carburetors or the like has a linearly reciprocal slide member carried by a body adapted to be secured to a mounting panel. A swingable lever is secured at one end of the slide member with a pair of control cables secured at an opposite end thereof. The lever is selectively swingable from a normal, non-choke position to either of two alternate over-center positions to shift the slide member against the bias of a spring which maintains corresponding cam surfaces of the lever in abutment with the body. The slide member includes a crossarm adapted to receive a pair of laterally disposed cables in order that two carburetors may be simultaneously controlled by the action of the single lever.

  • Patent number: 3954241
Abstract: A self-adjusting assembly is adapted especially for facilitating the leveling of an appliance, such as a washing machine or the like, on an uneven floor in order that the appliance is firmly positioned thereon. A pair of mounting brackets are each provided with a vertically shiftable, floor-engaging leg member with the leg members being interconnected by a cable such that the leg members are free to shift vertically relative to their corresponding brackets and in a reciprocal relationship when not supporting a normal proportional share of the weight of the appliance. Structure is provided on each bracket to frictionally engage the cable and lock the same to prevent shifting movement of the leg members relative to their brackets when the leg members and a pair of cooperating adjustable legs on opposite corners of the appliance are all in normal contact with the floor in support of the appliance.

  • Patent number: 3948361
Abstract: A parking brake mechanism for use on vehicles of the type normally using a hand-actuated brake, such as snowmobiles, motorcycles, bicycles and the like. Normally, the hand actuated brake is mounted on a handle bar assembly of the vehicle. The brake includes a lever adjacent a hand grip portion and is pivotally mounted thereon. The brake lever, when manually operated, moves from a brake disengaged position to a brake engaged position. The brake lever is normally biased to a brake disengaged position. A brake cable is normally operatively connected to the brake lever, at one of its ends, and at its other end, is operatively connected to a brake, the lever moving the cable from a brake disengaged position to a brake engaged position. The parking brake mechanism includes a U-shaped actuator member, straddling the hand grip portion, and is movably carried thereon.
