    Abstract: A chemical composition and method for treatment of the common cold, sinusitis and other conditions associated with nasal congestion is provided. The chemical composition is made of predetermined concentrations of thymol, alcohol, eucalyptol, menthol, methyl salicylate, a preservative, saline solution and a buffer. The method includes the step of administering the chemical composition of the invention via either intranasal instillation, oral inhalation or intermittent positive pressure breathing. Administration of the chemical composition via the method of the invention clears the nasal passages and alleviates the symptoms of the common cold, sinusitis, and related conditions.
