  • Publication number: 20220254945
Abstract: A photo-detector for detecting photons generated by a received light is disclosed. The photo-detector includes a semiconductor substrate, two or more guided regions, a photo sensing region, and two or more detection regions. The semiconductor substrate and the guided regions are doped with the first conductive type of dopant. The photo sensing region is disposed between the two or more guided regions for an impinging photon from the received light to generate photo carriers. The detection regions are doped with a second conductive type of dopant. The guided regions are respectively connected to power sources to apply an electric potential across the guided regions for controlling a detectivity of the impinging photon. The photo sensing region is provided to form at least a pn junction between the guided regions that is reverse biased so as to reduce or prevent a leakage path between the guided regions.

  • Publication number: 20220101655
Abstract: A system for facial analysis includes a camera, a data storage device and a data processing system. The camera takes video of a subjects face, and the data storage device receives and stores the video. The data processing system extracts a pose of the subjects face, and a representation of the subjects facial gesture state. The pose includes the angle and position of the subjects face. The representation includes facial keypoints that are a collection of points on the subjects face. The system then concatenates each data stream to align the data streams in time, extracts a plurality of facial syllables from the aligned data streams, and compiles the facial syllables into a series of state sequences. Based on the series of state sequences, the system extracts a behavioral fingerprint for the subject that provides a summary of the subjects state over a given period of time.

  • Patent number: 9146826
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein enable network simulation including a range of networking technologies to be scaled to include large numbers of devices under test (DUTs) even though computing resources, such as a total number of simulation hosts or IP addresses, may be limited. By enabling a network simulator to scale with limited computing resources, developers may be enabled to reduce the requirements for physical space, power, cost, and maintenance for network simulation. For example, developers may be able to determine capacity, such as a total number of DUTs that a network management system (NMS) is capable of managing, even though few simulation hosts or IP addresses may be available for simulation of the DUTs.

  • Patent number: 8760141
Abstract: A frequency-hopping pulse-width modulator is disclosed, which facilitates a switching regulator to use smaller-size inductive and capacitive elements, to have an improved power efficiency at light load, as well as predictable spectrum at different load levels. The improved modulator automatically determines the switching frequency of a switching regulator according to the load current delivered by the switching regulator from a number of pre-defined frequencies, which are all multiples of a fundamental frequency. By designing the maximum switching frequency of frequency-hopping pulse-width modulator in the MHz range, a switching regulator is able to use smaller-size inductive and capacitive elements. Light-load efficiency of the switching regulator with the frequency-hopping pulse-width modulator is also greatly improved as switching frequency of such switching regulator is reduced with decreased load current.
