  • Patent number: 12434799
Abstract: A pontoon raft frame made of mirror-image right side and left side tubular sections that are connectable to form a rectangular pontoon raft with a front opening in the raft frame for the seated user's legs to fit. Each tubular section is made of a J shaped assembly hinged to a C shaped assembly, that when connected to form the raft frame, can be placed atop of and strapped to a pair of air bladder pontoons by a set of pontoon cradles extending from the inside and outside of the J and C shaped assemblies. A folding seat is slidingly adjustable along a set of seat rails across the joined C shaped assemblies. The design allows for expansion as the assembled raft frame can be connected with other identical pontoon raft frames in a linear fashion and coupled to longer air bladder pontoons.

  • Publication number: 20150158562
Abstract: An accessory for addition onto a floating pontoon style fishing craft that enables the occupant to safely stand while the craft is floating without fear of tipping the craft. This is in the form of a lowerable, retractable platform that resides below the waterline of the craft and also incorporates a removeable working table/safety bar that resides in front of the occupant's seat to constrain them from falling overboard and to allow them a stable work surface from which to perform fishing related activities. The retractable platform serves to allow the center of gravity of the occupant to remain in close proximity to the waterline of the craft thus preventing tipping. Because of the depth the platform projects beneath the craft, the position of the occupant's mass acts as a stabilizer or ballast rudder so as to let the occupant to safely cast his fishing line from the craft.

  • Publication number: 20070168661
Abstract: A localization process in a network of source devices and sink devices on a 1394 bus, is performed by a source device while it is communicating to a sink device, which determines local network links from nonlocal ones. An actual round trip time calculation is performed only by the source device and the sink device can be relatively passive. The duties of the sink device are performed in hardware and involve (trivially) modifying the received message while moving the message from the input isochronous channel buffer to the output isochronous channel buffer.

  • Publication number: 20070150892
Abstract: An OCAP software download method improves the efficiency of software download in the OCAP for delivering operational software to consumer STBs. The download method allows many STBs to receive the software that is streamed from the cable headend over the cable plant to the STBs. Rather than servicing one STB per request, the download method utilizes a scheduled download method with synchronization and broadcasting protocol to allow many STBs to receive the data sent in one request.

  • Publication number: 20070146158
Abstract: A Networked Digital Audio Amplifier (NDAA) uses a 1394 connection to connect devices to the NDAA in an digital A/V network of devices. The NDAA addresses the audio amplifier needs of the digital A/V network, whereby there is no need for a conventional AV Receiver, entirely. Further, the wiring is much simplified as a result. In addition, unnecessary connections and wiring that are commonly and conventionally used in audio consumer electronics equipment is eliminated.

  • Publication number: 20070022198
Abstract: A method and system for pushing asynchronous notifications to devices in a network including client devices and server devices. A connection is established between a client device and a server device, wherein the client device sends a request for data to the server device, the server device includes a notification tag in a reply to the request from the client device for the client device to maintain the connection to the server device to await notifications from the server device, the client device receives the reply from the server device and checks for a notification tag in the reply such that if the reply includes a notification tag the client device maintains the connection to the server device to send notifications to the client device via the connection.

  • Publication number: 20060225116
Abstract: A low cost server (thin server) for ATSC terrestrial broadcaster delivered services, replaces the conventional STB for delivering services to consumers. In one version, the server is for a network that has a sink device and one or more signal processing functions. The server has a receiver that receives a source signal; a network interface for connecting the sink device to the network; and a controller that provides the received source signal to the sink device via the network. When necessary the source signal is processed using a processing function in the network to enable the sink device to properly utilize the source signal.

  • Publication number: 20060075434
Abstract: A television system for receiving a plurality of digitally-encoded television programs includes circuitry for selecting a particular digital data transmission channel from a plurality of digital data transmission channels containing a desired digitally-encoded television program in response to a control signal, at least one of the data transmission channels also including television program schedule data. The system also includes user-operable data entry circuitry for entering data, and a controller for generating the above-noted control signal in response to user-entered data. The controller selects a virtual channel from a plurality of virtual channels in response to user-entered data, each virtual channel being subject to reassignment to a different one of said a plurality of digital data transmission channels, the television program schedule data defining the relationship of each of the television programs to respective ones of the plurality of digital data transmission channels.

  • Publication number: 20060041920
Abstract: A method of incrementally adding functions to a network that has a source device and a sink device, where the source device provides signals to the sink device. Accordingly, the type of the source signal from the source device is determined. It is then determined if the sink device is capable of properly utilizing the source signal. If the sink device is not capable of utilizing the source signal, then a function is provided in the network which enables the sink device to properly utilize the source signal.

  • Publication number: 20050259600
Abstract: A translation bridge is provided between Ethernet and 1394A local links for consumer electronics devices. On each logical local link, a link local IP address is allocated for each other logical link to be bridged. The translation bridge then represents each external logical unit as that singular IP address concatenated with an assigned unique Port number which corresponds to the actual IP address and Port number of the external logical unit on its attached link. Therefore, all of the devices on an external link appear as logical units in one physical device. That physical device then presents the union of all of the external logical units' 2027 file response as the local link 2027 file response for discovery. Then, physical packets are translated to the external devices as if emanating from the link local corresponding device. Further, addresses in hyperlinks are translated in exactly the same way, treating addresses and port numbers as the addresses.

  • Publication number: 20050198663
Abstract: A method and system of browser-based command and control for devices in a network of client devices (e.g., controller devices) and service devices (e.g., controlled devices). The client devices allow the user to control the server devices. To reduce user programming of client device to control the server devices, a web browser is included in each client device and a web server is included in each service device that provides a service to be controlled by a client device. The user's navigational context is tracked as the user navigates around from device to device in the network. This provides information for the context of the web server for each service device, to reduce the need for the user to program that information into the client device.
