  • Publication number: 20220140298
Abstract: A tracking device includes a housing, electronics, a battery, and a battery protection system for protecting the battery. The electronics are disposed within the housing for tracking a position of the tracking device. The battery is electrically connected to the electronics. The battery protection system includes a protective structure defining a protective cavity, and the battery is positioned within the protective cavity. The protective structure prevents damage to the battery when a force of at least about 26 Newtons (N)/square millimeter (mm2) to about 435 N/mm2 is applied to the protective structure.

  • Patent number: 10441103
Abstract: A slow cooker system including a plurality of slow cooker units including a stand having a pocket for receiving a first of the slow cooker units, a vertical support extending upwardly from the stand, and second and third slow cooker units each having an arm extending radially therefrom and pivotally attached to the vertical support above the first slow cooker unit. The second and third slow cooker units are pivotal between a non-use position and a use position where the first slow cooker may be accessed and slow cooking operations may be performed simultaneously in the first, second and third slow cooker units. The arms of the second and third slow cooker units are each pivotally attached to a ratcheting arrangement disposed in the vertical support to lock the second and third slow cooking units when moved to the use and non-use positions.

  • Patent number: 4690154
Abstract: A vented blood gas syringe is capable of allowing arterial blood to enter into a specimen chamber due to blood pressure or due to the aspirating the blood into the chamber where insufficient blood pressure of the patient exists. The blood gas syringe is fabricated of conventional parts modified for venting. The plunger of a conventional syringe has air passages through the lower rib thereof to allow air to pass into the air space formed by the body of the plunger. The passages are further sized to restrict the flow of blood therethrough. A slice is made in the upper rib and at least one air passage is provided from the air space between the ribs to the slice. The upper portion of the upper rib above the slice becomes a flap which can act as a valve resting on a seat formed by the slice to allow air to pass upward but not downward.
