Abstract: A lifting device for lifting a smaller vehicle into a transporting vehicle includes attachment structures that are dimensioned and configured to secure the lifting device to attachment points provided on the transporting vehicle without modification of the vehicle. Some examples of the lifting structure include a support arm having a hook that is structured to engage a tailgate-securing bracket. Anther example includes a base having projections depending downward therefrom, or a tailgate-securing bracket, with the projections or bracket being inserted into the tailgate latch to secure the lift to the vehicle.
