  • Patent number: 7596864
Abstract: A method for soldering a soft wire to a printed circuit board conveniently includes the following step: providing a bracket having a through hole and an enameled wire; fastening the enameled wire to the bracket with the conductive wire crossing over the through hole; providing a printed circuit board formed with conductive pads thereon and setting the printed circuit board onto the bracket with the pad aligned to the through hole so that a portion of the magnet wire crossing the through hole lies on the conductive pad; providing a soldering tool having a thermal contact portion and inserting the thermal contact portion into the through hole to solder the magnet wire to the conductive pad.

  • Publication number: 20090040118
Abstract: An electronic device (100) includes a metal shell (1) having a number of walls (11,12) and an antenna unit (3). The metal wall has an interior space (17) defined therebetween, at least one recess (110) defined on one of the wall (11), and a mating member (111) disposed around the recess and extending into the interior space. The antenna unit is received in the recess and has a locating portion (36) extending from a side portion thereof and pivotably engaging with the mating member. When the antenna unit is rotated from a closed position to an opening position, another side portion of the antenna unit extends outward from the recess.

  • Patent number: 7028128
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for allowing a plurality of network connectors to utilize a single network controller within a docking station or portable device. A switching device connects the plurality of network connectors with the network controller. By connecting the network connectors into the switching device, the docking station and the portable device require a single network controller to handle the network communication. The switching device enables the network controller to continue to operate without disrupting the portable device when the network connection is changed from the docking station to the portable device or vice versa. The method and apparatus are useful in reducing the complexity of the total system while increasing functionality.

  • Patent number: 6719530
Abstract: A fan (2) includes a central hub (22), and a plurality of spaced and substantially sector-shaped blades (24) radially extending from the central hub. The blades surround the central hub. Shapes of the blades are similar. Sizes of the blades are all different from one another. Spacings between any two adjacent blades are all different from one another. The blades can therefore be configured such that a natural frequency of the blades is outside a range of a working frequency of a corresponding heat dissipation assembly which is used to dissipate heat from a corresponding electronic device. Resonance of the blades can therefore be completely avoided. Noise and vibration of the blades when the fan is operated can therefore be minimized.
