  • Publication number: 20180131822
Abstract: A method for digital file management and imaging in a system having a plurality of steps including activating a custom URL with the workstation web browser and determining whether the workstation processor has a scanner interface software component. If the workstation does not have that component, loading code of that component into the workstation processor, registering a protocol handler of that component with the operating system and activating a local web component in the scanner interface software component. If the workstation has the scanner interface software component, activating a local web component in the scanner interface software component. The method further includes receiving a scan command message at the web component, activating a scanner to generate images from a document, sending generated images from the scanner to the desktop component and sending metadata and generated images from the desktop component to a digital content provider system.

  • Patent number: 9872572
Abstract: A gravity-feed bin includes a generally hollow main bin having an open end, a storage reservoir and a dispensing chute. The dispensing chute has an opening disposed near a distal end. The bin also includes a gate seal and a dispensing gate movable between open and closed positions. When the dispensing gate is in the closed position the dispensing gate blocks the opening of the dispensing chute and the gate seal forms a seal between the opening and the dispensing gate. A first generally hollow extension section may be selectably coupled to the open end of the main bin. A resilient seal element may be intermediate the open end of the main bin and the first extension section. In some embodiments a gasket lid having a sealing gasket is selectably coupled to the bin.

  • Patent number: 9797163
Abstract: An identification module is disclosed for use in a key making machine. The identification module may have a key receiving assembly configured to receive only a shank of an existing key, and an imaging assembly configured to generate an image of the shank while the existing key is being manually held in the key receiving assembly. The identification module may also have a housing configured to house the key receiving assembly and the imaging assembly. The housing may have a slot formed therein to receive the existing key. The identification module further may have a tip guide configured to receive a tip of the shank of the existing key as the tip is inserted through the slot. The tip guide may be linearly movable by insertion of the existing key from a first location at the slot to a second location away from the slot.

  • Publication number: 20170267441
Abstract: A viscous food product dispensing system having a transport section for receiving a particulate food product from a bin, an auger for processing and conveying the received particulate food product from the transport section into an outlet adapter via one or more flutes, a milling device housed in the outlet adapter, and a discharge nozzle in the outlet adapter that pinches off the viscous food product created by the milling device. The auger has a unique design that allows it to engage and break whole nuts.

  • Patent number: 9723361
Abstract: A method and system for monitoring video assets provided by a multimedia content distribution network (MCDN) includes an expert test monitoring platform (ETMP) configured to emulate MCDN client systems at a facility of an MCDN service provider. The ETMP may allow execution of ETMP scripts that specify remote control commands to send to a desired plurality of multimedia handling devices representing emulated MCDN clients. The ETMP scripts may be manually or automatically initiated and may be configured with execution parameters specifying, among other aspects, a number of iterations to repeat. Results recorded when the ETMP script executes may be retrieved and used to generate reports.

  • Publication number: 20170188113
Abstract: A method includes receiving, at a control server from a first terminal, first input selecting a first media device and a second media device. The first media device and the second media device are coupled to a media switch. The method includes updating control data to generate updated control data in response to the first input. The updated control data associates the first media device with a location of a facility. The location is associated with a port number of a particular controller. The method also includes sending a signal from the control server to the media switch to instruct the media switch to send a first video output of the first media device and a second video output of the second media device to the first terminal.

  • Patent number: 9635428
Abstract: A particular method includes receiving, at a control server from a user terminal, input selecting at least one media device that generates media output in an output format. The method includes sending a signal from the control server to a media switch to couple an output of the at least one media device to the user terminal. The media output of the at least one media device is sent to the user terminal in the output format when the output is coupled to the user terminal. The method includes receiving, at the control server from the user terminal, a command to be performed by the at least one media device. The method also includes sending command data from the control server to one or more controllers associated with the at least one media device. The at least one media device is controlled based on the command data to perform the command.

  • Patent number: 9611108
Abstract: An anti-oxidation bulk product dispensing system for oxidation-sensitive bulk product includes a gravity-feed bin, an oxygen displacement substance, a supply source, and a control valve. A reservoir of the gravity feed bin is filled through an inlet with oxidation-sensitive bulk product. The product is stored in the reservoir and selectively dispensed through an outlet of the bin. The bin inadvertently receives oxygenated ambient air while receiving and dispensing the product. The supply source is configured to selectively provide the oxygen displacement substance to the bin. The control valve is in communication with the supply source and the bin and is configured to selectively deliver the oxygen displacement substance to the bin. The oxygen displacement substance displaces the oxygenated ambient air in the bin, thereby lessening oxidation of the stored product.

  • Patent number: 9509548
Abstract: A technique to determine trending data based on the aggregation of RSS feeds received from a networking site or system is described. A computer-implemented method monitors a link path from a source for a request feed. The request feed is read and a determination is made as to which one or more of a plurality of web sites the request feed is associated with. The number of request feeds associated with particular ones of the plurality of web sites is aggregated. A determination is made, based on the number of aggregated request feeds what multimedia content is displayed.
