Abstract: Systems and methods for resisting intrusion by a pest include a reservoir extending between a proximal end and a distal end, and the reservoir defining an interior. A basin is mounted to the reservoir. The basin has a basin body and a basin surface. A sleeve assembly has a sleeve body and a port defined in the sleeve body. A tensioner translationally mounts the sleeve body relative to the basin body. The sleeve body translates distally from an accessible position to an occluded position when a weight applied to the sleeve assembly exceeds a weight threshold set by the tensioner. The accessible position includes bird food on the basin surface being accessible through the port. The occluded position includes the port being disposed distal to the basin surface such that the bird food on the basin surface is inaccessible through the port.

Abstract: Techniques for generating audio for a speaker system include receiving an audio input signal and a first location associated with the audio input signal; generating a low-frequency output based on the audio input signal; generating a plurality of high-frequency outputs based on the audio input signal, the first location, and a plurality of directions at which the plurality of speaker drivers emit audio; generating a plurality of middle-frequency outputs based on the audio input signal that are used to form one or more beam patterns for rendering a sound at the first location; and transmitting the low-frequency output, the plurality of high-frequency outputs, and the plurality of middle-frequency outputs to the plurality of speaker drivers of the speaker, wherein the plurality of speaker drivers emit audio that corresponds to the low-frequency output, the plurality of high-frequency outputs, and the plurality of middle-frequency outputs.

The body has a wall forming the cavity, and the wall has one or more openings therein to allow for food to pass from the cavity outside of the device where it may be consumed by the animal. The device bottom is configured to provide a rocking motion when the device is disrupted.

A seat has a front portion pivotally attached to the frame and has a rear portion which can be lifted upwardly. The seat movable from a first generally horizontal sitting position to a second angled lift position where the rear portion of said seat is lifted upwardly. Arm rests members are movably attached to opposite sides of the frame. Each arm rest member has a generally horizontal arm rest portion and a vertical activating rod member. The arm rests are movable from a first upper vertical position to a second lower vertical position. A rope and pulley system is provided which includes a pulley attached to a lower end of each activating rod and additional pulleys are attached to the frame. A rope is attached to the rear portion of the seat and extends around the pulleys.

Abstract: Apparatus for a video navigation plotter with electronic charting, specifically such a plotter designed for marine use, and various methods for processing navigational data therein and displaying resulting navigational data thereon are disclosed herein. Specifically, this plotter stores coastline data only for those cells which contain coastline data within a given geographic region of a pre-defined chart. The data for each of these cells is stored in a unique data structure that stores data for a plurality of line segments that, when drawn, collectively depicts the geographic data stored within that cell. Each segment is stored in terms of coordinate locations for a starting point followed by coordinate offset values for each successive point in that cell. Only those cells and their constituent segments are drawn for coastline data that exists within a specific region to be displayed.
