Patent number: 12177035Abstract: A system and method enabling the concurrent provision of multiple multi-user band transmissions, each via a single cable, to a media gateway appliance, thereby providing the media gateway appliance with an increased array of user bands for the provision of program content. The multiple multi-user band transmissions can originate from a single multi-output single-cable interface, or from multiple single-output single-cable interface. This enables the switching fabric and internal tuners of a given media gateway appliance to select any one of the provided user bands and demodulate program content therefrom.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2022Date of Patent: December 24, 2024Assignee: ARRIS Enterprises LLCInventors: Christopher John Craven, Robert Michael Payne, Paul Richard Pratt, Lars Andreas Wallstrom

Patent number: 11753819Abstract: The invention provides an adjustable stiffness assembly for use in conjunction with a fixed stiffness element to elastically connect a structure to a mass. The assembly includes a structure mount, a mass mount, and a rotatable stiffness element. The rotatable stiffness element rotatably engages with the structure mount and the mass mount, and has a minimum stiffness value with respect to forces in a direction a maximum stiffness value with respect to forces in another direction The fixed stiffness element and the adjustable stiffness assembly together provide a complete stiffness assembly having a total stiffness value with respect to force in the global direction for elastically connecting the mass and the structure. The first rotatable stiffness element is rotatable relative to the structure mount and the first mass mount to vary the total stiffness value of the complete stiffness assembly with respect to force in the global direction.Type: GrantFiled: September 3, 2019Date of Patent: September 12, 2023Inventors: John Craven Swallow, Allan Leo Raun

Patent number: 10385520Abstract: A sports field has a stable, impermeable substrate, a water distributing layer provided over the substrate and an artificial turf layer over the water distributing layer. A bund defines a perimeter of the sports field and extends from the substrate to at least the height of the artificial turf layer. A drain channel having inlets at a height to communicate with the water distributing layer is provided such that water can flow from the water distributing layer into the drain channel and vice versa. As a result of this constructions, there is formed a containment, defined by the bund surrounding the field and by the substrate. Water can be held within the containment in the water distributing layer allowing for water attenuation and cooling of the sports field.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 2014Date of Patent: August 20, 2019Assignee: Ten Cate Thiolon B.V.Inventor: Robin John Craven
