  • Publication number: 20080000845
Abstract: A filter for use in a storm water drain to prevent debris from reaching the outlet of the drain. The filter is adjustable to be sized for a range of flow capacities. The filter includes a main filter section having openings through which water flows. A pair of adjustable side grates project from the main filter section and are adaptive to be connected to the sidewall of a storm drain. Flow capacity of the filter can be varied by adjusting the effective width of the respective side grates.

  • Publication number: 20060266681
Abstract: A storm drain filter is provided for filtering trash and debris from a stream of water passing through a storm drain. The storm drain filter comprises a panel having a multiplicity of openings formed therein and is adapted to mount adjacent to a sidewall of a storm drain such that the filter lies adjacent an outlet through which water passing from the storm drain flows. When installed in a storm drain, the filter fits relatively close to the outlet and the adjacent sidewall and permits water to flow through the openings thereof, but filters trash and debris.

  • Patent number: 6627697
Abstract: A highly abrasion resistant and durable, low density ablator composition is provided that comprises a base silicone resin, silica microballoons as a filler, a catalyst, and a thinning fluid to control the viscosity of the base silicone resin. The density of the resulting composition is approximately 0.32 g/cc yet the composition has excellent abrasion resistance. Furthermore, the ratio of filler to base silicone resin, by weight, is approximately 0.91. The ablator composition is also RF (radio frequency) transparent, moisture resistant, and low cost. Methods of mixing the ablator composition and forming ablative structures are also provided.
