  • Publication number: 20090058412
Abstract: An integrated current sensor includes a current conductor, a magnetic field transducer, and an electromagnetic shield. The magnetic field transducer includes a sensor die. The electromagnetic shield is disposed proximate to the sensor die.

  • Publication number: 20080297242
Abstract: An integrated circuit includes a monitor node adapted to receive a monitored signal. The integrated circuit also includes a multi-purpose node. The integrated circuit is adapted to receive and store a threshold presented at the multi-purpose node during a first time period. The integrated circuit is also adapted to output a fault signal from the multi-purpose node at a time after the predetermined time period. The fault signal is indicative of a relationship between the monitored signal and the threshold. With this arrangement, the multi-purpose node achieves at least two functions.
    Type: Application
    Filed: May 30, 2007
    Publication date: December 4, 2008
Inventors: Ravi Vig, John Cummings, Jonathan Lamarre, David J. Haas
  • Publication number: 20080301606
Abstract: A system and method for switching digital circuit clock net driver without losing clock pulses is presented. A device uses glitchless clock selection logic, which includes an edge detector, to select a clock signal to provide to device circuitry based upon the device circuitry's performance requirements. When the rising edges of a first clock signal and a second clock signal align, the edge detector momentarily pulses a clock switch signal, which is used to clock in a clock selection signal to a multiplexer. As a result, when the clock selection signal is high, the device waits until the clock edges are aligned before switching clock signals.
    Type: Application
    Filed: August 15, 2008
    Publication date: December 4, 2008
    Applicant: International Business Machines Corporation
Inventors: Jethro C. Law, Kirk Edward Morrow, John Cummings Schiff, Glen Arthur Wiedemeier
  • Patent number: 7342428
Abstract: A pulse on edge circuit includes a first pull up transistor having its gate terminal coupled to a delayed control signal and a second pull up transistor having its gate terminal coupled to an inverted delayed control signal. A first and second pull down transistors are coupled in series between the first pull up transistor and a low voltage bias, wherein the gates of the first and second pull down transistors are coupled to the delayed control signal and inverted control signal, respectively. A third and fourth pull down transistors are coupled in series between the second pull up transistor and the low voltage bias. The gates of the third and fourth pull down transistors are coupled to a control signal and the inverted delayed control signal, respectively.
