  • Patent number: 5598803
Abstract: A low profile retractable lifting eye assembly with a "U" shaped lifting eye pivotally mounted in a housing having a "U" shaped depression for receiving the eye in its depressed position. A pin extends transversely through the legs of the lifting eye and through the housing. A coupling member external of the housing has its upper end received in the middle of the depression in the housing and the upper end of the coupling members has an opening receiving the center of the pin. A set screw in the coupling member engages an annular groove in the pin to prevent transverse movement of the pin relative to the remainder of the assembly.

  • Patent number: 5535694
Abstract: A cleat assembly with a cleat portion received in a housing which can be flush mounted on a boat. The lower portion of the housing is completely sealed and the cleat portion is received for vertical movement in the housing. The cleat portion has an upper exposed position and a depressed or flush position. Spring loaded poppits within the housing engage the cleat to maintain it in its upper and depressed positions.

  • Patent number: 5301627
Abstract: A cleat assembly having a base plate for receiving the cleat of the assembly. The base plate has a body portion for receiving the shank of the cleat and a pair of slots for receiving a pin carried by the shank. A single "W" shaped spring engages one of the ends of the pin and is operative to alternately hold the cleat in its exposed operative position or in its depressed inoperative position.

  • Patent number: 5285359
Abstract: A navigation light for a boat including a base plate mounted over a hole in the deck, or over a hole in the cabin side or hull side. The base plate has an opening therein in which is pivotally mounted a bulb carrying insert, with the insert being moveable between a flush position and a projecting position relative to the base plate. A solenoid connected in series with the light bulb in the light circuit is activated when the circuit is actuated and moves the insert from its flush position to its projecting position. In a first embodiment, a bow light, a spring is provided to assist the solenoid in moving the insert to its projecting position. In a second embodiment, a side light, a spring is provided to return the insert to its flush position.

  • Patent number: 4993343
Abstract: A flush mount ski tow hook is mounted in a hole in the transom of a boat hull and has a sealing cup projecting inwardly of the hole from an externally mounted flange. The flange carries an inwardly and upwardly projecting tow hook. The sealing cup not only seals the opening in the transom but also seals the edges of the opening to protect the latter from the elements.

  • Patent number: 4809634
Abstract: A pop up cleat having a base plate for receiving the cleat. The base plate has a pair of longitudinally spaced holes and the cleat has a pair of legs received in the holes. A cross pin connecting legs. A pair of coil springs urging the cleat to the pop up position with said springs connected between the cross pin and the base plate. A release pin and a spring cam acting between the release pin and the base plate. The spring cam being engageable with said cross pin to hold said cleat in its depressed position while depressing the release pin moves the spring cam so that the coil springs can force the cleat to its pop up position.
