  • Patent number: 11920310
Abstract: A bollard assembly is formed from a bollard that resides in a tubular socket. The socket has an internal core that is separated from the tube walls by annular recess. The lower end of the bollard is received within the recess. Lifting elements inside the bollard engage the upper surface of the core, and are internally biased in favor of extension. A locking system prevents extension of the lifting elements. When the locking system is unlocked, the pressure of the lifting elements against the core causes the bollard to rise out of and slightly above the socket, without external assistance. Once raised, the bollard may easily be removed from the site of the socket.

  • Publication number: 20200009438
Abstract: Disclosed is a self-contained device and method for improving a practicing golfer's swing which is brought about by the movement and action of an elongated headpiece subassembly which is positioned at the side or temporal areas of a practicing golfer's head and withdrawn when there is premature movement or glancing away from one's eye on the golf ball being hit prior to striking the golf ball in the practicing shot, or pulled away when the golf ball is struck without moving one's head or eyes prior to making the shot and proceeding with follow-through. In related preferred models of the invention a ground support subassembly assembly is used to vertically support the headpiece subassembly, and acts to define an area where the golf ball is placed for the practicing shot; and further provides a warning method when a right-handed or left-handed practicing golfer strays too far to the left or right, respectively in follow-through of a practicing shot.

  • Patent number: 9211466
Abstract: A golf swing practice and improvement device and system or process is disclosed for better training the golfing enthusiast to make straighter shots when hitting a golf ball, without hooking or slicing the ball. The device of the invention is provided with an adjustable boom assembly supported to provide three-dimensional positioning to a head guide subassembly attached to the boom assembly and used by the Golfer for proper stance and head position. The head guide is provided so that it can be placed from a frontal position at lateral or side portions of a golfer's head to guide and keep the head in position relative to the golf ball while the golfer is making their golf club swing to the golf ball. The boom assembly is made to be withdrawn frontally from the golfer's head just after the golfer makes contact in swinging their golf club with the ball.

  • Patent number: 7411688
Abstract: According to an embodiment, a method and system for color calibration in a three-dimensional multi-color laser scanning system is disclosed. An object may be scanned with the scanning system, which scans the object with color laser heads. Laser intensities, corresponding to laser intensity values, may be received from the scanned object. Three different calibration targets are used to setup a field of view (FOV) calibration profile due to scanning position changes, a surface normal calibration profile due to surface normal direction changes, and a color reflectance calibration profile due to color reflectance changes. After compensating for laser power drift fluctuations, the laser intensity values may be further compensated for field of view scanning position changes and surface normal direction changes using the field of view calibration profile and surface normal calibration profile.

  • Patent number: 5167205
Abstract: A disposable animal litter box can be folded into a compact form for storage, shipment, and/or disposal. The pet litter container includes a base made from a first piece of sheet material and an insert made from a second piece of sheet material. The base includes a bottom portion for containing the pet litter, a pair of foldable side panels attached to the bottom portion, and a pair of roof panels attached to the side panels. The insert includes a floor panel which is disposed inside the bottom portion of the base, and a pair of foldable end walls. Together, the base and the insert form an enclosure containing the pet litter.

  • Patent number: 4398468
Abstract: A propulsion system suspension is provided for a railway truck of the type which includes a pair of wheels associated with the propulsion system which are secured to the ends of an axle which is mounted to extend transversely between the ends of first and second side frames of the truck. The propulsion system suspension includes a gear box having an output end supported by the axle extending therethrough and an input end which is resiliently supported by a strut from the first side frame. A motor has a rear end which is resiliently secured to the second side frame as the motor extends transversely toward the first side frame. A universal coupling device is provided between the input end of the gear box and a front end of the motor.
