  • Patent number: 5778928
Abstract: An improved marine drain valve is disclosed. The valve includes a valve barrel having an intake opening and a discharge opening. A fluid passageway extends between the openings. A valve adaptor body surrounds the valve barrel and a torsion-compression spring is positioned between and attached to the valve barrel and the adaptor body. A vent passageway is defined by the valve for venting a reservoir to which the valve is attached. An operating pin extends outwardly from the valve barrel and is received for movement in a configured slot defined by the adaptor body. The slot has a first leg parallel to the valve barrel and a second leg extending perpendicular to the first leg. The spring urges the valve toward a nonoperating or locked position. To operate the marine drain valve, a user rotates the operating pin and forces it upwardly into the first leg of the slot thereby opening the valve. Upon release, the spring returns the operating pin to the locked position.

  • Patent number: 5356045
Abstract: A fluid dispensing apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a fluid container defining a fluid cavity. A manifold assembly is mounted over a container bunghole. A tube assembly including a fill tube extends into the fluid cavity. Keyed couplings are mounted on the manifold assembly. One of the couplings is in communication with the fill tube and another coupling is in communication with the cavity. A pressure relief valve is mounted adjacent the manifold assembly. Tamper evident assemblies are provided on the manifold assembly for determining if the fluid container has been opened.

  • Patent number: 5179976
Abstract: A fluid coupling is disclosed. The fluid coupling includes first and second coupling parts which define a passageway. A valve is provided in the passageway. The valve is adapted to open upon interconnection of the coupling parts. One of the coupling parts includes at least one guide groove, while the other coupling part includes at least one key pin receivable by the guide groove. The coupling parts can only be interconnected upon alignment of the key pin with the guide groove.

  • Patent number: 4786223
Abstract: A system for immobilizing vehicles having pneumatic tires during shipment utilizing tire chocks on each side of the tire and a flexible web harness passing over the tire upper circumference having ends affixed to the chocks. A winch mounted upon one chock tensions the harness while a quick-release fitting at the other end of the harness attaches to the other chock. The configuration of the quick-release fitting, the type of tensioning winch employed, the relationship of the winch to its associated chock and the construction of the harness are all features of the invention.

  • Patent number: 4458717
Abstract: A synthetic plastic cushion seal for an expansible chamber motor usable with either an air or oil pressurized medium, the seal having reduced friction characteristics, being of a concise configuration and utilizing radial and axial channels to facilitate medium flow during pressurization of the associated motor chamber.

  • Patent number: 4434970
Abstract: A load bracing bar frictionally supported between partitions to restrain cargo movement comprising an elongated bar consisting of telescopingly interconnected portions. An elongated tooth track is homogeneously defined in one of the bar portions of the material thereof, and a lever and dog device mounted upon the other bar portion selectively engages the teeth of the track to extend the bar portions longitudinally upon lever action. The lever is pivotal to a position which retracts the dog from the tooth track for retracting the bar portions, and a spring biased detent on the lever positively locks the lever and bar in the extended condition.
