  • Patent number: 9331447
Abstract: A crimping apparatus includes a ram having crimp tooling for crimping a terminal to a wire during a crimp stroke and a force sensor detecting a crimp force during the crimp stroke. The crimping apparatus also includes a controller that monitors the crimp quality of a crimp based on a frequency profile of the crimp. Optionally, the controller may create the frequency profile based on a force profile using a frequency transform algorithm. The frequency transform algorithm may be a Fast Fourier Transform algorithm.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: May 3, 2016
    Assignee: TYCO ELECTRONICS CORPORATION
Inventors: John D. Charlton, Keith L. Nicholas, Robert A. Dubler

  • Patent number: 5301166
Abstract: A remote control system protected against enemy take-over and particularly uited for the undersea control of acoustic decays and torpedoes. System includes dual electronics systems. Command signal includes plurality of frequencies which disable one of dual systems and energizes the other system.

  • Patent number: 5268875
Abstract: A sonar countermeasure comprising a decoy device that carries apparatus for eceiving, processing and transmitting sonar signals. Processing apparatus includes magnetic tape storage, staggered record and read heads and time varying partial erase heads which produce realistic "echo" of received sonar search signals.

  • Patent number: 4270180
Abstract: A delay line time compression correlation circuit for correlating two sets of serial data is disclosed, and includes a counter for defining the number of data pairs that have been correlated and the amount of time shift between the two sets of serial data. The two sets of serial data are digital samples of two clipped analog input signals which are simultaneously sampled as a function of the correlation count value. The samples are stored and serially cross-correlated with predetermined time displacements between the two sets of data. The correlation results for each particular time displacement are summed with such total being provided as an output while the correlation for the subsequent time displacement takes place.
