  • Patent number: 9751470
Abstract: A bicycle carrier rack mountable to a vehicle includes a mounting member configured to abut against the vehicle and a flexible strap coupled to the mounting member, the flexible strap having a free end. A blocker is disposed at the free end of the flexible strap and a hooked end piece is removably coupled to the free end of the flexible strap. The hooked end piece includes a distal end having a hooked portion and a proximal end. A cover has a passage extending therethrough from a first end of the cover to a second end of the cover. The cover is slidably disposed about the flexible strap and configured to enclose the blocker and a portion of the hooked end piece within an interior of the cover. The blocker inhibits movement of the flexible strap through the proximal end of the hooked end piece in the proximal direction.

  • Publication number: 20170066404
Abstract: A seatbelt system comprising a buckle; a spool with a ratchet wheel and webbing that is windable onto or off of the spool as the spool rotates. A control mechanism is operatively engaged with a pawl located proximate the ratchet wheel. When the control mechanism is in a first condition, the pawl is disengaged from the ratchet wheel and the ratchet wheel and spool are rotatable to wind the webbing onto or off of the spool. When the control mechanism is in a second condition, the pawl is moved into engagement with the ratchet wheel and the ratchet wheel and spool are only able to rotate the webbing onto the spool. The control mechanism includes a button that has to be pushed by a user after the seatbelt is engaged with the buckle in order to move the pawl into engagement with the ratchet wheel.

  • Publication number: 20150130100
Abstract: This invention relates to a method and apparatus for leveling a three dimensional printing platform. In one embodiment of the invention, the printer assembly is provided with a sensor for determining the distance between the sensor and the printing platform or plate. Inasmuch as printer assembly is movable about an X-Y plane above the plate, printer assembly may move to determine the distance between the sensor and printing plate at several different areas of the plate. A control system then calculates the relative adjustments necessary to move the corners of the plate to make the plate horizontally level. A set of four threaded rods with attached motors may be provided to move the associated four corners of the plate vertically to adjust the overall level of the plate.

  • Publication number: 20150130101
Abstract: This invention relates to providing a printing assembly having a small hopper and a heating element disposed therein. The small hopper is configured to receive a plurality of pellets therein and feed the pellets to the heating element. The heating element melts the pellets to form a molten material for use in three dimensional printing. A large hopper may be provided to store a large amount of pellets. The large hopper may include a door which may be automatically abuttably opened by the printer assembly when a sensor indicates the pellets are below a particular threshold and the printer assembly is in need of additional pellets.

  • Patent number: 8967413
Abstract: The present invention relates to a vacuum sealable container system comprising a container and a lid assembly having a movable valve insert. The valve insert includes a vacuum indicator for informing the user when a vacuum is present in the container. The valve insert is pneumatically movable within a chamber by way of a pump assembly to open and close a fluid communication between the container and the exterior of the container to remove fluid to form the vacuum. The vacuum indicator collapses into an opening formed in the lid assembly to inform the user of the vacuum as well as reinforce the seal formed by the valve insert.
