  • Publication number: 20240084143
Abstract: A mono-extruded hemp composite board (EHB) is provided. By combining hemp feedstocks with virgin and/or recycled binder materials and subsequently extruding them into an extrudate sheet, an environmentally friendly alternative to tradition construction materials is created. Secondary feedstocks and waste products from other production streams may be added during the extrusion process to enhance the physical characteristics of the extrudate sheet in addition to reducing the raw material costs and creating a more environmentally friendly construction material. The extrudate sheet produced using such materials is structurally superior to traditional construction materials due to the structural characteristics of dispersed hemp feedstocks; the complete encapsulation of hemp feedstocks in the binder material; and the lower hygroscopic and higher pest and mold resistance properties of hemp feedstocks.

  • Publication number: 20240084093
Abstract: A method for producing environmentally friendly, mono-extruded hemp composite board (EHB) is provided. By using hemp fiber and hemp hurd in combination with virgin and/or recycled binders, the system and method may be used to create preferable substitutes for traditional construction boards. The method generally comprises steps of processing hemp hurd/fiber and injecting said hemp hurd/fiber into an extruder along with a binder. Waste products from other production streams may be added as well to reduce waste/cost of said production streams. The resulting EHB is structurally superior to traditional construction boards largely due to the structural characteristics of dispersed hemp hurd and hemp fiber, their complete encapsulation in a binder material, and their lower hygroscopic properties. Additionally, since the EHB is created using an extruder, a downstream extrusion arrangement may be used to mold the EHB into shapes that are difficult to achieve with traditional construction boards.

  • Publication number: 20160117770
Abstract: System for managing intangible assets are provided that allow effective management of intangible assets. The intangible asset management system include a computer based intangible asset management system for storing, managing, disseminating and sharing intangible asset information of an entity among users. The system has a user interface that displays options for a user to enter, view, and edit some or all of the intangible asset information. A database is coupled to the user interface to store the intangible asset information and a processor is coupled to the user interface and the database. The processor receives intangible asset information from the user; processes and organizes the intangible asset information; stores the intangible asset information in the database; updates the database with any new intangible asset information received from the user; and provides the updated intangible asset information in response to an inquiry from a second user.

  • Patent number: 8332740
Abstract: System and method for storing, managing, disseminating and sharing intellectual property asset information among users over a communications network. The system comprises a processor based server, a client processor based device, and a centralized database. The server processes each intellectual property information received from the client device through a hash function to provide a message digest, thereby providing a digital fingerprint and an attestation trail for each intellectual property information. The server aggregates all message digests to provide a system level message digest, thereby providing an attestation trail for the centralized database. The server transmits the system level message digest to a third party for storage or publication to prevent tampering and to maintain integrity of the centralized database.

  • Patent number: 7593869
Abstract: The present invention includes a system and method of electronically executing transactions with a preprogrammed main computer having data and image storage and retrieval equipment. A plurality of electronic images of works of art which are for sale are created by at least one listing dealer and stored on the storage equipment associated with the main computer. Data is input about each stored image and input data is associated with each corresponding stored image. A plurality of preprogrammed intelligent terminals each having data storage and retrieval equipment, at least one display screen and at least one input device, located at least one listing dealer location and at least one buying dealer location communicate with the main computer. Search criteria are input through the intelligent terminals for selecting at least one of the stored electronic images for review.

  • Publication number: 20080294683
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing intellectual property are provided. These systems and methods may accept new pieces of intellectual property from creators of the intellectual property and then record the intellectual property, control access to the intellectual property, facilitate use and integration of the intellectual property, and track information relating to the intellectual property. Using five basic data structures, one embodiment of the present invention enables the tracking of IP elements (e.g., a single idea or a new combination of ideas), IP assets (e.g., one or more IP elements with recognized value), metadata elements (e.g., supplemental information), log elements (e.g., change information), and user records (e.g., user information). In an implementation of the invention, a “lab notebook page” paradigm may be used to facilitate the entry of information into an IP element.
