  • Patent number: 4609062
Abstract: A weighing scale of the type utilizing a lever assembly to transfer a load from a weighing platform to a weight indicator by way of a suspension assembly interconnecting a platform load-transmitting beam to a lever of the lever assembly, with a suspension system having a pair of parallel rocker pins extending between the platform and a bearing member resting on a lever load pivot. The rocker pins have top ends which pivotally connect with the platform, and the pins extend downwardly to pivotally contact a pivot bearing member at their lower ends, so that the rocker pins move to accommodate any horizontal movement of the platform and isolate platform movement from the supporting bearing member. The rocker pins move, with respect to the bearing member, when the platform moves horizontally and the suspension assembly is designed so that those pins will abut the bearing member to control platform horizontal motion.

  • Patent number: 4202175
Abstract: A system including a hydraulic pump unloaded by a first system relief valve which is piloted by a remotely controlled two position directional valve. A second system relief valve in a hydraulic cylinder exhaust line is also of the pilot operated type. A manually operable valve in the truck cab pilots the second system relief valve to provide the operator precise manual control of cylinder discharge and speed of dump body lowering. A modified system includes a solenoid actuated two position directional valve for zero back pressure pump unloading. A hydraulic lift cylinder exhausts fluid during dump body lowering past pilot controlled relief valve the pilot line of which is branched permitting separate or combined control of the pilot flow by a manual or a solenoid actuated valve. A further modified system for both truck and trailer dump body control includes a pilot operated relief valve controlled by a solenoid valve for dumping pump output at low pressure.

  • Patent number: 3939949
Abstract: An energy absorbing system operable in conjunction with a pump powered off of the vehicle drive train, the system including a driver control panel including a settable relief valve permitting control of remote pilot operated relief valves for variable loading of the pump for vehicle braking purposes. Pump discharge is by-passed around the driver control relief valve during open throttle conditions while conversely a closed throttle position, during deceleration, will automatically close the by-pass to subject pump output to variable loading by the operator controlled relief valve. Additionally, manually operated control valves assure system operation in the event of component failure.
