  • Patent number: 7780085
Abstract: A scanner capable of scanning a curved surface such as a bottle or other cylindrical, or curved surfaced object. In one class of embodiments, the present innovations include a scan head and one or more rollers (preferably two rollers, one active, the other passive) on which a cylindrical object turns in proximity to the head. As the object turns, the head records the image on the surface of the object.

  • Publication number: 20020170407
Abstract: Cubic boron nitride tooling, e.g. for woodworking, is fabricated with the same geometries and machinery as is used for fabricating conventional carbide tooling.

  • Patent number: 6298762
Abstract: Solid carbide segments are brazed to the rim of a steel body and then teeth are ground into them. This allows more teeth/inch on the perimeter and larger diameter blades than on previous carbide-tipped blades. The segments, which typically form an arc of a circle, provide the improved performance of carbide blades without excessive expense of solid carbide blades.

  • Patent number: 5410127
Abstract: An electric blanket system which runs from an AC power input, and does not use a transformer; but the power supply is rectified and regulated, to reduce the AC component of current by 90% or more (preferably 99% or more). The blanket itself uses a field-cancelling resistor layout, to achieve a further reduction of 95% or more (preferably 99% or more). The combination of these techniques provides a reasonably cheap way to bring the low-frequency magnetic field strength down to acceptable levels.

  • Patent number: 4927074
Abstract: A container for storage and transportation of quantities of documents, wherein the box body is made of folded cardboard with thick end walls, and the lid is also made of folded cardboard, with a thick lip, and grommet holes in the lid are aligned with handle walls in the end walls. After the box is filled, and the lid is placed on the box, nylon cable ties are threaded through the grommet holes and handle holes to close the container.
