  • Patent number: 9216338
Abstract: Disclosed is a golf tee foldable, through rotation, in a direction of a drive swing to prevent breakage and loss and increase the drive shot distance. The golf tee comprises a ball platform; a supporting pillar; a coupling ball; and a ball coupling portion having a fixation pin. The ball coupling portion has two quarter-spherical shells symmetrically facing each other, separated by a contoured crevice of a uniform width defined by two opposing top edges of the shells. The two shells define a generally hemispherical receptacle for holding the coupling ball therein, which is open partially through the crevice and through a horseshoe-shaped bottom opening formed by two bottom edges of the shells. The crevice is sized and configured such that at a drive swing, the supporting pillar, being restricted by the two shells, moves only along the crevice, and thereby rotates and folds only in a single plane.

  • Patent number: 7806034
Abstract: A safety prime feeding device includes a tray base, a tray cover, a bearing yoke, a priming pin and an elevator pin. The tray base includes a primer tray and an attachment projection that extends from the tray base. Primers are loaded into the primer tray. A primer slot is formed in a top of the attachment projection. The elevator pin pushes a primer to the primer slot above the primer tray for transfer of the primer to the priming pin. The priming pin and elevator pin are retained by the bearing yoke. A primer barrier is formed in the primer tray adjacent the elevator pin. An actuator body includes a tray retaining body, a lever and a connecting rod. The attachment projection is retained by the tray retaining body. Squeezing the lever pushes the connecting rod, which pushes the bearing yoke to push the primer into the cartridge.

  • Patent number: 4512235
Abstract: An ammunition case reloading press is based on an O-frame die cast from a low strength metal. A case carrying ram is driven reciprocably through a bottom member of the O-frame toward and away from a die in a top member. A compound lever system is actuated by a manual operating arm to drive the ram. A stop prohibits the links of the lever system from toggling into dead center position to thereby limit the stress of the O-frame. The operating arm is designed so it will flex to signal the user that unnecessarily great resistance is being offered and that the die should be adjusted relative to the ram to reduce the stress. The operating arm and lever system pivots are askew to a vertical plane passing through the frame so the arm swings clear past the side of the O-frame and so there is a clearer line of sight to the opening in the O-frame where the cases are placed on and removed from the ram.

  • Patent number: 4435034
Abstract: A connector for connecting at least two insulated conductors, for example telephone line conductors, comprises a hollow body and a hollow cap, the cap, in a typical example fitting into the body to form an enclosure. The front of the body has apertures and guides for admission and guidance of conductors thereinto and the cap has insulation displacing terminals set in a top web. When body and cap are pressed together the terminals make contact with the conductive cores of the conductors. Terminal arrangements permit of butt, bridge and tap connections. A modified form of body permits a tap to be made to a continuous conductor. The cap and body can be provided in a partially assembled or first stage assembly which permits insertion of conductors, the cap and body then being pressed to a fully assembled or second stage assembly for connection of the conductors.

  • Patent number: 4393433
Abstract: An overvoltage or surge protector, particularly for telephone lines, has two electrodes in opposition in a housing. The gap between the inner ends of the electrodes is set by a layer of dielectric material on the center portion of one or both end surfaces of the electrodes. Breakdown occurs with assistance from dielectric stimulation of the arc, resulting from an electrical field across the dielectric. The center portions are surrounded by annular grooves, which are also covered with a dielectric layer. The end surfaces external to the center portions can be convex, and also roughened.

  • Patent number: 4310212
Abstract: A retaining member for retaining cylindrical members, such as rods and wires, has a base and a pair of cantilevered dual action beams extending from the base, the beams having parallel opposed spaced apart inner edges, each beam having an upper and a lower portion, the lower portion having an upwardly and inwardly inclined outer edge and the upper part having an upwardly and outwardly inclined outer edge, the conjunction of the two portions forming a neck, and an entrance portion defined by a downwardly and inwardly inclined upper edge on each beam, the upper edges merging with the inner edges by a radius. Insertion of a cylindrical member deforms the upper portions to a large extent the portions bending about the necks. The lower portions are deformed to a lesser extent and have substantially uniform stress distribution.
