  • Publication number: 20220129999
Abstract: A system including one or more memory devices having instructions stored thereon, that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to receive travel data associated with a travel plan of a user indicating one or more travel destinations. The instructions cause the one or more processors to receive destination risk data indicating a destination risk of the one or more travel destinations associated with transmission of an infectious disease, receive personal risk data indicating a risk of the user associated with the infectious disease, and generate an infection travel risk score for the user based on the destination risk data and the personal risk data.

  • Publication number: 20210407690
Abstract: A system including one or more memory devices having instructions stored thereon, that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to receive a request from a user device of a user to add the user to a trusted user service, receive health behavior data of a health behavior data stream associated with behavior relating to a spread of an infectious disease at a physical location, determine whether the user meets one or more health safety levels based on the health behavior data stream, add the user to the trusted user service in response to a determination that the user meets the one or more health safety levels, and generate an access indication for the user to access the physical location at one or more particular times in response to the determination that the user meets the one or more health safety levels.

  • Publication number: 20180122214
Abstract: A hand hygiene monitoring system is provided. The hand hygiene monitoring system includes a wearable device coupled to a user, and a beacon associated with a hand hygiene station and configured to communicate with the wearable device. The wearable device is configured to initiate monitoring for a hand hygiene operation based on determining the wearable device is located within a predetermined distance from the beacon, and monitor hand hygiene parameters associated with the hand hygiene operation. The hand hygiene parameters are associated with a quality level of the hand hygiene operation performed by the user.

  • Patent number: 6162008
Abstract: Apparatus for detection of an edge of a generally disk-shaped workpiece, such as a semiconductor wafer, includes a light source positioned to direct a light beam at the surface of the workpiece near the edge thereof such that a first part of the light beam passes the workpiece and a second part of the light beam is intercepted by the workpiece. An angle between the light beam and a normal to the surface is equal to or greater than a critical angle that produces total internal reflection of the light beam in the workpiece. The apparatus further includes a mechanism for rotating the workpiece and a light sensor positioned to sense the first part of the light beam and to generate an edge signal that represents the edge of the workpiece as the workpiece is rotated. The apparatus may be used for sensing orientation and location of semiconductor wafers of different materials, including those which are transparent to the light beam.

  • Patent number: 5447315
Abstract: A method and apparatus is disclosed for sensing the position and speed (force) of a projectile striking a target of arbitrary size and shape. The strike produces an acoustic shock wave which travels outward from the point of impact, striking several acoustic sensors at the periphery of the target.

  • Patent number: 5425278
Abstract: A load cell formed with a single crystal beam and strain gages deposited thereon. The single crystal beam may be advantageously formed from sapphire. The beam is arranged in the load cell with a fixed portion and a free portion to which weight forces may be applied. At least one strain gage is deposited on the beam to provide signals responsive to the applied weight forces. The method for making the load cell includes growing the crystal, depositing a strain sensitive layer on the crystal substrate, foxing the strain sensitive layer into at least one strain sensitive element and attaching a plurality of electrical leads to the strain sensitive elements to form strain gages. A weighing device is formed of a base upon which a plurality of the load beams are arranged for supporting a weigh platform.

  • Patent number: 4847690
Abstract: An improved system, apparatus and method are disclosed for interleaving selected video fields of multiple displayable programs to facilitate viewer selection of which programs to display. Selected video fields are stored and continuously displayed until a new, successive video field is selected to update the currently stored video field. In this manner, a sequence of rapidly updated, fixed or frozen video fields provides the appearance of continuous movement of displayed images. Audio signals are included in the video fields of displayable programs to provide audio signals in synchronism with selected video fields. The sequence of interleaved video fields may be assembled in real time or stored as a video tape recording, and the information needed to re-assemble correlated video fields of a selector displayable program from the sequence of interleaved video fields is included in the horizontal scans or traces of each video field in the sequence.
