  • Publication number: 20150101483
Abstract: An adsorbent media has a pore volume/media volume of at least about 0.12 cc pore volume/cc media, a specific heat capacity of less than about 2.9 J/cc pore volume, and a pressure drop of less than about 4.0 inH2O/ft media at a superficial air velocity of about 500 ft/min, wherein the adsorbent media is in a concentrator system. An extruded honeycomb adsorbent media has a cell density of more than about 200 cells per square inch (cspi), % open area of at least about 50%, an activated carbon content of at least about 50% by weight based on total weight, and a pressure drop of less than about 4.0 inH2O/ft media at a superficial fluid velocity of about 500 ft/min.

  • Patent number: 4934378
Abstract: The invention measures the electrical signals at the microvolt level emitted from the masseteric (jaw) muscle when bruxism occurs. The apparatus detects electrical signal impulses from electrodes on a transducer probe located within one of the patient's ear channels and transmits the detected signals to an amplifier. in one embodiment, a circuit converts the signal information into an audible tone. The tone provides the immediate knowledge of the bruxism which leads to controlling of the action. The apparatus may be worn inconspicuously during the day and without discomfort while asleep for sleep interruption feedback.

  • Patent number: 4574119
Abstract: A refractory brick made from a size graded batch comprising 20-30 weight percent magnesite containing less than 0.8 weight percent silica, and the balance a chrome ore. The chrome ore includes oxides of chromium, aluminum and iron wherein the ratio between the oxides of chromium and the oxides of aluminum and iron is greater than 2 to 1. The silica content of the chrome ore is less than 2.7 weight percent, the iron oxide content is less than 17 weight percent, and the chrome ore to magnesite ratio is between 2.33 to 4 to 1.

  • Patent number: 4396019
Abstract: Apparatus and method for the measurement of and assistance in the treatment of the pubococcygeus muscle of the human using myographic biofeedback. A single probe with a plurality of separated noble metal smooth-faced sensing electrodes detects minute electrical pulses in the range of zero to twenty-five microvolts (RMS). The impulses are transmitted through connecting cables to electronic circuits which amplify the impulses and transform them into visual, auditory, or tactile signals which are presented to the patient, as a biofeedback signal, in real time. The apparatus and method is used to diagnose, train and exercise the pubococcygeus muscle under conscious control, and is useful in the treatment of several pathological conditions of the female pelvic organs, including sexual inadequacy, and in research concerning human sexual response.
